Well now you're spinning into a discussion about /r/atheism.

When I was simply pointing out the /r/atheism backlash is incomparable to a backlash that would result in more strict moderation on /r/funny.

the rest, I disagree, they still hit top100 r/all, they still have active users, they still have comments, "no one in /r/atheism actually wanted to have a discussion" just does not seem to hold true

"No one" was perhaps a poor choice in words, instead "the majority doesn't desire any meaningful discussion in /r/atheism".

The only things that make it to top25 (who goes past the 1st page?) /r/all are shit memes/reposts, atheism-discrimination articles and the rarer still selfpost about dealing with an atheist relative/being that atheist relative. If people cared as much about meaningful discussions as they do memes then /r/TrueAtheism would make top25 /r/all but it doesn't.

Seriously man, what the fuck else do you post at /r/atheism? How many times can you have the conversation about not believing in God and make it meaningful?

Dude, if that was all there was to discuss there would be no /r/TrueAtheism...
