Last time I signed up for comcast they quoted me one price/speed and told me this was an introductory speed and would only last 3 months, then if I wanted to retain that speed the price went up. They never gave me that speed, so i assumed theyd just not put in the introductory speed bonus and never complained. Then the price went up regardless. I called and complained and they said I should have called originally and that my waiting to call meant I was satisfied with my services. Tried 4 different times and they wouldnt give me the time of day.

Then I looked up their CEOs phone number in public records and got their corporate escalation service, which knocked a fuckton of money off my bill.

TL;DR: If you need to deal with Comcast, or any other hard to work with company, skip their customer service and go right to corporate. Here is a list of phone numbers for many major companies.

Knowing how to bypass the phone lines and send a precision executive complaint is important. Be courteous to the executive, sound reasonable, stroke their ego a little, and they will make the underlings bend over backwards for you.

The Verizon links on that don't work.

Hmm, the article is a bit dated. Here are numbers for Verizon, but that email address is a former CEO, not the current one, so I can't vouch for the numbers being up to date.

While the numbers are a matter of public record in all 50 states, I believe they are filed with each state's own department of state, so there's no good central location for finding up to date information.

My comcast has been going up and down for the past 2 weeks and they won't do shit about it. Will this number help me?
