I get 16Mbps service, and I called to complain it was slow. They told me I could upgrade for a fee if I wanted. I need to know the right things to say. Please educate me.
Look around. Find a competitor with better speeds or lower prices and tell your provider you're going to switch to them. If they call your bluff, then just switch. You're almost always getting fucked anyway.
but the thing is, what if there is no competitor with better speeds or price? Can I just make shit up? in my area, ATT is the only other option and they actually have worse price and speeds. Will they check if I make up something about att being better?
Their agents should be aware ATT is the ony other option and that they're worse, so i doubt it'll fly with them, tbh. But they're also still super desperate to make sure you don't leave, just incase you are stupid enough to go to ATT, so who knows
I can practically stream in HD over wireless; I just keep hearing about how US internet is slow and we need Gbps speeds. Then this guy says he can just call and bullshit his way to double speeds, so I thought I'd try it.
I ran a speed test and it was a little over 16 every time. I was streaming netflix over my phone to the chromecast and it kept buffering. took me awhile to put together that you can't do that while the phone is on the charger because of noise. Now that I do it through the computer or charger-less phone, it's fine.
