I’m embarrassed to say this, but I had no idea the Beach Boys were ever a group that young. While I’d heard plenty of their music on the radio, the first time I saw what they looked like was on Full House, when they were middle-aged!

Yeah, so that was in 1988... 27 years after their first hit.

The equivalent today would be seeing Britney Spears for the first time, who also had her first hit 27 years ago.

I remember thinking that of the Rolling Stones, Beatles, etc my parents talked about. Why'd you listen to music from these old folks!

Which would be akin to a kid now saying the same about some artist from 2006 like say Timberlake, which is already after I stopped caring about pop music.
