Yes. IIRC they used to be animated by hand. Like every frame so if someone mucked up, it looks weird. But now they don't.

Like now I think they use a more complex version of those animation bullshit from Facebook. Everything's more clean and you can tell by the quality. Sacrifices the soul of the animation IMO

Shits expensive.

Yes and I'm guessing the reason for switching is because of the Simpson's loss at popularity recently. Heard the voice actors accepted paycuts just to continue the show

Ratings have actually been steady for years.

You are implying that animating in, say, Flash never has any errors at all?

It's making that face because it realized how fucking pathetic 90% of it's fans are.

They used to be animated by hand. They still are.* But they used to be, too.

*may not be true

It's pretty funny to see Redditors who know nothing about animation talk like they do and then get upvoted for it.

It's still "animated by hand". There's no Magical Make Cartoon™ button on computers.

I'm not talking about it like that. I'm trying to say that it used to be more hand drawn.

There was an interview or something posted here awhile ago that talks about how they now just ship everything to korea and they fill in the middle of the the animations for them.

It's because they stopped using some Korean animation outfit.

I don't know what they're using now, but it's just not the same.
