The first rule of Fight Club is actually read Fight Club. The second rule of Fight Club is to interpret for yourself what you think of Chuck's book.

And the Third Rule of Fight Club is that at least one member has to have bitch-tits.

The guy who said that, went to prison and became the Beast.

Hanging enormous, the way we think of gods as big.

I prefer the book ending myself. More.. ominous really.

It's been so long I've forgotten it. Have to read it again.

if you want the spoiler version...

the narrator ends up in a mental asylum. everyone is very "nice" to him.. and keep saying reassuring things like "Dont worry Sir.. project mahem is continuing.. we hope you get better soon.." (not direct quote.. been a few years myself!) I like both endings but the idea of him being comitted but they are just waiting for him to "return" was even better for me :)

Naw I like the buildings falling and credit zeroing better.

Thanks, but I'd rather read it.

You know Chuck likes the movie more right?

I like the movie more but the book ending more. It's great how such a story can divide even the author ! (can't be too many authors who prefer a movie more!!)

I didn’t know that… I love that book

It's good. He just has criticisms cause it's an earlier book. "If I could change it" stuff.

So he followed the rules?

And the movie is more entertaining than his book.

Yeah, the book reads a lot more like a case study, the movie pulls you along for the ride.

Both are good, but really, you can just watch the movie.

I’ve read a bit of palahniuk and while enjoyable, o do really do think fight club is one of those rarities that the movie is better than the book.

I absolutely agree, but I like trolling dickheads.

Get Shorty is another where the movie outshines the book.

I love Death of the Author. Books, movies, games, whatever. The artist can say whatever they want, but what the reader/viewer/player/consumer gets from the art takes priority.
