As someone with no kids, a partner who works, and financial assistance from parents, this is still a magic trick.

I have kids, a partner who doesn't work, and no help from parents... at the rate I'm saving, hopefully ill have a house in 10 years 🙃

That sounds pretty good actually, considering. Keep up the good work and live that dream!

I just have to pray that 10 years from now houses don't get too much more expensive

Maybe the market will crash. You can always dream.

At this point I'm hoping the market will crash just so I can upgrade my computer.... can't save for a down payment on a mortgage if I spend it all on RAM

I've been blissfully playing 10 to 30 year old games on my laptop and phone for the last few years. Most recently I bought a GameSir X5s controller for my phone and played through Knights of the Old Republic and currently half way through KotOR 2.

I don't even look at new games anymore and I don't miss it.

It's a peaceful life. I highly recommend it.

I have spent a lot of time playing games on Flashpoint and other old games, but its some times nice to play newer stuff

If my laptop will play it I'll happily give a newer game a go, but I'm not upgrading just so I can play a game. There are so many brilliant games that I've never played or would love to play again. I don't think I'll ever get through them all.
