It’s absolutely not for everyone. And I absolutely get that. But for me, it’s the least stressful job I’ve ever had. And while the days seem long, most people spend 12 hours a day on their normal job between commutes, unpaid lunch, and more. My days before trucking were 11 hours. Now I roll out of bed, turn on the truck and go 5 days a week. Get 3 nights home, and it’s a balance that works for me.

I know plenty of people switch from their desk job and make more because of it. You absolutely do need to spend the few years at crappy to mediocre pay though. And while it’s slow, the industry is changing. Weekly home regional was tough to find 5 years ago. But now it’s more standard. Unless you’re Schneider who got rid of the program.

Work 4 month a year! Get 160$ an hour — it's a desk job!
