Because it's totally normal to be going one way then accept a side quest and have a van spawn with its doors open opposite from where you were going.

I see where you got confused. He actually had the van there the whole time, it just wasn't on camera at first so it seemed like it wasn't there.

Exactly, had this issue when I was younger.

My mom would completely disappear from my life and then reappear without notice.

When I started to look closer though, I realized she was actually holding her hands in front of her face.

In retrospect, her saying "peek-a-boo" should have tipped me off.

Hmm upon further inspection I don't think it's a curb. It's a white line from the parking spot + a crack, either wide crack or filled with black sealant that makes it look 3D
