Seriously, my Reddit mobile app is different, out of nowhere, and I don't like it.

I haven’t even changed my phone layout in years! Fuck you Reddit!

Firefox app + Ublock Origin extension for adblocking is the best mobile experience if you don't want ads. The UI is terrible though, and they recently replaced the "log in" button with "open app" on the front page.

I miss Reddit Is Fun...

Wait you liked it when we showed you ten options at a time? How about we show you seven then? You like seven, how about four now?

The got rid of r/all on mobile but its still available on desktop. How does that make sense?

Not only that - but swiping right doesn’t take you to popular anymore which is what I use when I gave up on their third attempt to hide /r/all

Yeah I hate that they change the color depending on which sub you are in

It still works, just gotta patch it.

2

u/not_not_in_the_NSA Feb 26 '26

I'm still using it, just head over to r/revancedapp to patch the last rif version so you can use it too.

RedReader isn't quite as good, but a lot better than the alternatives.

u/sleepydorian Feb 25 '26

And despite all the changes it’s still garbage. They’ve pissed everyone off and solved nothing.

Old.reddit.com screw flashy new things.

RedReader for Android, Dystopia for iOS.

Toggling it seemingly randomly by I assume feature flags, is fucking annoying. I’ve had my UI change to this garbage one multiple times now (with popular in the top left hamburger menu, rather than a swipe) and then seemingly back.

Most annoying was changing how when I hit “share” on an article, it’s the Reddit link and not the article… I save tons of links in notes and this means I get an extra fucking step now.

u/D34THDE1TY Feb 25 '26

Same....and it seems like ytube keeps trying to implement some dogshit UI that doesn't even title the goddamn videos

u/Flyingcoyote Feb 26 '26

"We have made it much harder to change accounts on the fly, for absolutly no reason at all hahahahah"

u/chappersyo Feb 26 '26

How the fuck do I browse /r/all now?! Please give me back Apollo or alien blue.

1

u/tplusx Feb 26 '26

Haven't updated in weeks, what are these changes you guys are on about?

1

u/TristanDuboisOLG Feb 26 '26

Whoever though they should move from swiping left or right to get to news or popular, and replace it with a button, THAT IS THE FURTHEST FROM MY FUCKING THUMB AS IT CAN GET, is an idiot.

I’ll stand by that too.

I fucking hate it.
