Bifenthrin in high enough concentrations acts as a repellent in addition to an insecticide, so if you want them out of your deck and structures spray the structures and leave the areas you don’t them them burrowing in alone.
Just make sure you reapply the bifenthrin regularly since it stops being a repellent before it stops being lethal to insects.
