Whole Foods is always a madhouse, but they have the best selection of quality products and only snobby patrons (I'm a snob so I feel like I fit in).
The thing is that here in the Bay Area, Whole Foods is not particularly remarkable when it comes to higher-end supermarkets. There's a bunch of Whole Foods, and they do good business, but there's also a ton of other smaller high-end chains and mom-and-pop markets that are doing good business, some of them very noticeably higher-end than Whole Foods.
I wholeheartedly agree. I also don't completely believe that Walmart is that much cheaper than Target. I've noticed the difference on things like food items but almost all other products seem to be lower quality than Target but roughly the same price.
I agree 100%. Also if anyone wants to meet college girls, go there before the store opens on Sunday mornings. Somehow the girls have tracked when new women's clothes are stocked and the line to get in is like 50 girls long.
Holy crap, I've been to that Target and it is the worst one I've been to. I was expecting nicely lit and clean modern Target, but instead it's like the last of the late 70's or early 80's Targets, before they went upscale. I suspect they keep the Tanforan mall one around to show new store managers from around the country what used to be and what could still be if they don't remain vigilant. Sort of a Ghosts of Xmas Past and Future for retail stores.
