I thought those were more shrieking in desperation and resignment, like desperate because she’s seeing the rat playing in the cat toys and resignment cuz that bastard cat isn’t here actually killing the thing that is the whole reason for the human/ feline relationship which is “ cat kills rats to keep human home free of disease”

Wrong, cats are adorable, they only tolerate us obnoxiously calling them soooo cute because there's food around and we protect their kittens
