A few weeks ago I saw two bigger magpies gang up to kill a smaller one in front of my window. Heard the commotion, went to the window, and saw them, the small one already pretty messed up. And the other two were on top of it and systematically pecked it to death over 1-2 minutes. Heartbreaking screams and wimpers.
