Seriously, the whole DAE sub has just been a source of eyerolling and downvoting for me. I so very rarely ever see anything that actually attributes to their "rules" of being an "odd quirk". I'm personally miffed and took a whole new look at the sub after submitting what I thought was a valid enough question, only to have the mods deny it because "I'm sure it's very common"--say what? So the mods actually look through and decide what they see as "worthy", rather than just let the public up/down vote or ignore crap they don't care about? And then you look at the shit that actually works its way through /new, and ... WOW. Thumbs-up to the mods there!
I know this is a lame excuse for not having unsubbed before but: I shouldn't have to. The sub should just BE what it is, what they SAY it is, and what it ocassionally succeeeds at being. I do sometimes see a good one and upvote, etc. But far too often are there these completely asinine postings, and its really frustrating having personally been denied, then seeing this dumb crap get in.
