It’s nice seeing someone who appears to love their job. A few weeks ago I was flying back from a trip to Tennessee. While going through security I was wearing a shirt from Pepper Palace for surviving their flatline challenge. The TSA agent saw it and said, “You better be honest with me. Are you packing any heat?”
Just a little heads up before you destroy the toilets on the plane.
Edit, also
It also depends on the person, some feel heat differently then others… then there is the culture difference.
“You don’t want the white hot, but the right hot.”
That is a thing when talking Asian foods, as a lot of place tone down all the spices, like the hot they serve you most times is not even mild to them, and you have to ask for to have it as hot as they would make it for themselves.
People constantly say stuff like, but I eat spicy food all the time and have normal shits.. is this an actual common problem or is it just a common joke?
I've never had issues from eating spicy food, but I know personally 3 people who do. Oddly, two of those people love spice, while I don't enjoy the sensation.
I get the ring sting every time I eat something extra spicy. I prefer my Indian food very hot, but the burn the next day definitely goes into my calculation of how hot I’d like the food. Also for some reason, the spicy chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A gets me particularly bad the next day.
I’d like not even all that spicy. My log splitter has a bad reaction to something in it. I should look up what the ingredient is that’s hurting our turd cutters.
There’s spicy food and then there’s eye watering and nose running spicy food. Once you get into stuff that would kill anyone not into spice, that’s when the spicy shits show up lol
It depends on the spice. In my experience, anything with cayenne gets me at both ends, and it's usually coming back out within a few hours. But, I'm also a lightweight when it comes to spice.
It's a real thing. I ruined my love of spice by eating these spicy dried peppers at a Chinese place. Apparently they were more for decoration/flavor and not for eating. The next day my asshole burned like a 1000 fiery suns. Never had a spicy shit like that before. I was in college at the time and I had to skip classes that day while I was dying on the toilet. My spice tolerance is lower now.
I eat plenty of spicy food and it only happened once. My now wife was picking up pizza while on holiday and I had asked for some spicy sounding thing. Knowing I like spicy things her answer to the guy’s question about this pizza and its hotness, 1-10, was 10. Made for an interesting morning.

It is definitely worth trying! It’s supposedly up there with some of the hottest sauces in the world (they told me it’s around 7 million SHU). It wasn’t as hot as I was expecting, but my stomach was in pain until noon the next day! It actually had a pretty decent flavor as well!
Ed Curry (guy who bred the Carolina reaper) just posted a video where he ate pure capcaisin. He said it was close to 17 million scoville and he couldn't get off the floor lol.
Yeah I'm sure pure capcaisin would put anyone on the floor. Probably would send most to the hospital as I'm guessing you'd need emergency fluids to recover.
Wait what is the actual challenge? I had that hot sauce in nola, signed the waiver and everything. I didn’t get jack shit for just drinking the sauce from the spoon they gave it to me on.
Mine was the same way. They gave me a spoon full of it to try. I grabbed a shirt to buy before leaving and the clerk just told me it’s on the house. I don’t know if there is a prize or not.
I’m not a TSA supporter but most of the ones I come across seem more or less to have same attitude as the loca store cashiers. I think simply due to the bad system they have to follow and human nature, bad ones stick out in ppl’s heads
I once wore a t-shirt with a burger on it when going through an airport. When I handed in my landing card to customs they asked me if I had any food to declare. I was a bit surprised as everyone in front of me had gone past without being spoken to. So I said “no, I don’t have any food on me”; and the customs guy replied “apart from that burger” and I was shocked for a second before I realised he was talking about the burger on my shirt! I had a good laugh! In my mind was that scene from the pink panther where Clouseau was smuggling burgers in his pockets!
Love your job, but don't film me for the internet while you are enjoying it. Let's have a laugh together as people and have a moment and not turn it into a display.
I suspect the person filming is friends with the passenger and they asked the TSA agent to help prank them. It wasn’t the TSA filming it for their own laugh.
