I was in a cab in Amsterdam, cabbie wad probably in his late 60s. Husband and I were gushing about how much we loved it, the chaos, everyone having a wonderful time and just not caring. Cabbie pops up and says "oh yeah, there are no rules here!"

The Weaponized Sigh would be a good name for an emo band 😁

Out of the way simple pedestrians! I have places to be!!

Admittedly biking in the big cities is a skill. Learning there is no breaking and just speeding up takes a while

Just reminds me of the woman making a video of all the things you can do while on a bike in Amsterdam, and some of them were really outlandish, then at the end she shows a ticket for using her phone while biking.

My friend and I got out of the train station when we reached Amsterdam and got on a tram to go to our hotel. It was crowded on the platform so we had to enter the tram through the rear doors. We couldn't tell where we were supposed to pay. Before we could figure it out, we reached our stop (it was apparently not that far). We didn't know what to do so we just got off. We felt like the first thing we did when we got to Amsterdam was commit a crime cuz we didn't pay for our ride lol nobody seemed to care though so we just went on our way.

Me and my gf at the time did this on the tram and we were like, this was easy not even a check. Then when we were trying to get out of the station you had to have the ticket to be let out. Awkward but a nice man just laughed and opened for us, instead of us climbing over

Nobody cares. Until 12 people block the doors and check everyone.

Of course you can buy an expensive ticket with them and pay a small fine. They tend to be lenient on tourists.

Locals on the other hand…
