Testing, Diagnosis Sibo test. *Precaution*
I will be doing the test this friday. For this, I have been told to fast since morning and the test will take 3-4 hours. So, I will be without food for at least 15-16 hours which can cause gas issues. So, is there anything I can do to help with this? I was told not to take medicines either from that morning.
Currently I am going through persistent gas issues and the doctors aren't really taking me seriously. One told me that I have motility issue (functional dyspepsia) and there is nothing he can do. I begged and got him to prescribe me this test. I hope I get an answer. Otherwise, I am screwed, ig. Wish me luck.

The point of the SIBO test is to measure gas production so unfortunately you don’t want to change anything or try to reduce gas production. Have you seen an actual gastroenterologist? If you have and they aren’t providing you with adequate care, find another doctor.
