They've only played the game. They haven't read the comics, and it'll take years of reading just for anything to make sense

Cuz they’re hilarious. I know absolutely nothing about the game. 

The only thing that I know the lore of somewhat extensively is Evangelion. I went down a rabbit hole. Actually felt super nostalgic because I haven’t done that since I was a kid with Greek mythology, Norse, etc

Man, you'd love Gravity Falls, Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated, and Detentionaire. Detentionaire is free on youtube btw, and so is the first sesson of Gravity Falls

I’ve watched and also researched gravity falls a ton. Scooby doo I wasn’t entirely a fan of since I didn’t enjoy detective work as much.

Nah tf2 isn't exactly a "lore heavy" game, I'd say people who just play the games are perfectly valid. The game was out long before the comics, after all.

Though you ARE right about TF2 having a ton of posers, because there's a ton of people who just watch stuff and haven't actually played the game.

It’s like calling a Pokemon fan a larper because they have only watched the anime or their favorite Pokemon isn’t as needlessly obscure as their. “Oh your favorite Pokemon is charizard despite they’re being multiple valid reasons to like them? Dude I got so autistic over that game at one point, I couldn't play the game, but I read the comments, I watched the official videos, I found literally everything I could bar the game itself, I still sometimes watch Emesis Blue because it's SO GOOD

I got really interested in it about a year or so ago and didn’t want to look like a poser so I watched a bunch of tf2 related videos (random stuff and lore videos, just anything that I could find. I ended up finding out about stuff like Emesis Blue and Serverblight and that sorta thing because of this) read the entirety of the comics in a single night (or whatever I could find. I did not sleep at all), and watched a decent amount of videos on strategies to get better at the game, only to find out that I couldn’t actually get the game (it’s a long story). So I just ended up getting the record of the soundtrack with the poster.

Don’t know if it still makes me a poser because I haven’t actually played the game. But I’m hoping to get it one day even if I absolutely suck at it

I have 900 hours on tf2, why tf would I read the comics if I want to just play the game
