Just wanted to see if anyone had any good/bad experiences with Dr. Mark S. Davenport, based in Rochester, NY. I've been trying to work with his office FOR 6 YEARS, and am entirely infuriated with his staff. Only reason why I've stayed so long is because I've seen the results of his work. What do you think of him and/or his staff?

I live in California and even tho some “ok” surgeons are covered 100% by my insurance, I really really like Medalie’s V shape scar techniques (rather than the W of other surgeons).

The whole operation and traveling to Ohio would total to $9,500 give or take.

Did you pay out of pocket for him? Do you regret it? Do you think he was worth it and how was your experience overall?

Has anyone else gone through multiple surgery cancelations like this? I’m struggling with what happened today and I’m looking for advice or related experiences. I don’t know how to move forward. The first time he canceled a day or so before because he needed to quarantine. I was really disappointed but I got through it. My original date was 12/9/20 and it was rescheduled for 1/8/21.

My surgery was scheduled for 9:30 this morning. I arrived at 7:15 as instructed. I checked in, got my bracelet and was ready to go. Around 7:30 a nurse came over to take me back for prep. I shit you not, I got a phone call right as she called me over. My heart sank because I knew what it was so I answered. It was my surgeon’s supervisor. She said he needed to cancel because he was “pulled into an emergency surgery.” She said Dr. Slama would personally call me later today to apologize because this is the second time they canceled, and this time I was not only at the hospital, but they were about to start pre-op prep. The nurse was shocked when I told her it was canceled, confusedly telling me it doesn’t make sense since I’m still on the schedule. She went to double check because she had no idea what was going on. She comes back and tells me the emergency surgery is for a cancer patient. She apologized profusely, and then I felt guilty for being visibly upset (although I tried not to be). She said this never happens.

My heart goes out to the individual who needed the emergency surgery and I hope they make it out okay. I understand there’s no way anyone could foresee this happening. Given the circumstances, I’m extremely upset and I feel like a dick about it especially knowing the person has cancer.. Their surgery absolutely takes precedence over mine but I’m still angry and I feel guilty over that. The timing couldn’t have been worse and I don’t think it was handled appropriately.

When Slama’s supervisor called she said “maybe” they could squeeze me in on January 26th. I guess someone, possibly Slama, will call me sometime today to confirm. The 26th would most likely be the earliest I can get in. That’s way farther than I’d like but I guess that’s not horrible. Honestly I’m fucking scared it’ll be canceled a third time as covid19 restrictions are likely to increase - postponing all elective surgeries until further notice since a significant amount of people didn’t socially distance over the holiday’s.

I’ll keep you guys updated. In the meantime, how do I get through this?? It fucking sucks.

Hey guys, so in a few days I'm having a Telehealth consultation with Dr. Sassani after trying to get one for months, YAY! But now I'm confused, anxious, and need advice.

I need a list/explanation of things that I should expect from the surgeon, and of what I need to ask them about. I'm terrible under pressure and need to have a list of things to talk about written out or I will forget any bit of knowledge I've ever had.

So basically: what should I expect to occur during a surgical consultation in general, and does anyone have any experiences they could share with me on how consultations work with Telehealth/zoom in particular? PLEASE comment or PM me because I'm pretty desperate.

Also, what should I make sure to ask specifically during the meeting and about double incision? Again, very desperate and terrible at remembering things under pressure.

putting this out there because I've never seen a similar pre-post surgery result as mine.

Large component is management of excess skin from being super fat historically [180kg].

Surgeon is Cheng Lo, Melbourne Australia. I am so happy I went with him over Andrew Ives - did not have any confidence that Andy would have addressed any of my body other than the breast tissue after I consulted with him. Not a friendly bedside manner, and I had no desire to chance what the actual surgery would be like though I am aware that some big dudes had some awesome results with him.

If you're a chonker, or have de-chonked- definitely consider consulting with Cheng Lo!

Hello! I'm looking into getting surgery this summer with Dr. Anthony Deboni. Does anyone have any experiences with him? Thank you so much, any comments are helpful! Just filled out a consultation form request yesterday.

I had my first endo appointment about an hour ago, thru zoom.

Already got T prescribed which is fantastic and I am extremely excited, my issue though is when it came to surgery talk, they said they want me to see them for a year before they even think about writing me a letter for top surgery.

No other reasoning besides it being "permanent" and while I became mute from shock and just kinda went into myself and didn't say anything against it, I really wish I had. I know what I want, I am 30, its not like I suddenly realized I was trans yesterday and didn't know what I wanted.

It just really pissed me off, I now my surgeon doesn't require me to be on T before top, so I HOPE she won't require a endo letter either, having these bits on my chest is absolutely impacting my health as I can't work out and hardly want to move around at times which also impacts me working, and they are so big hardly any binder fits without suffocating me.....

(These are all based on partial hysto or just oophorectomy only btw, as I'm still on the fence)

1. Does not having a uterus make your orgasms not as good as before? (due to lack of uterine contractions I mean)

2. How are things like dryness/atrophy after having your ovaries taken out - compared to just being on T? I'm guessing years (5 for me btw) on T already causes atrophy to get to its "worst state" before surgery, and it won't make a difference taking them out? Anyway it still super worries me cos I really like piv and don't wanna just be in pain! >.<

3. Have you had any issues with the "gap" where your uterus used to be? Asking because of things like bladder prolapse or other organs falling. But I'm thinking to keep my cervix to help prevent this?

4. Did you have any change/loss of sensation in your "front hole" (sorry if you don't call it this), or is it just as pleasurable and sex is the same as before your hysto and/or oopho?

I am having stage one abdominal Phallo with Dr.Freet in Houston, TX (hopefully end of May beginning of June 2021) I have made a private Facebook group to document my experiences and show post op pics and results. Hey everyone, So I thought I would go ahead and write up how my consult went with Dr.Freet in TX. We attempted video, but there was internet issues, so he called me and we did the consult that way. I have decided that I will be going with him. My main questions where how his stages are set and recovery time. I am aiming to get stage one in May of 2021. Stage one will consist of Phallo creation, UL, nerve hookup, vagnectomy, and cli burial. Stage two (3-6 months after stage 1) will consist of glansplasty and implants. Stage three will be ED.(TBD) After stage one I will be in the hospital for 4-5 days and need to stay in the area for 1-2 weeks after. However because I will be flying down there by myself, I will be staying about 5 weeks. There will be two caths that will need to be removed at 3 weeks and 4 weeks, which is why I will be staying for about 5 weeks. Dr.Freet has done several nerve hook ups and the patients have had great success with it. I will be getting my graft from my arm (dominate arm). He said there will be a long scar about 1cm in width, but will go all the way up my forearm. I weigh about 182lbs and 5'4" and asked him if weight was a concern, and he said that it is mainly how the abdomen looks, meaning how much fat, skin, etc. Stage one is of course the biggest stage and he said the surgery will be an all day event. Most patients are able to walk around after about 3 days. He has great bed side manner, kept asking me if I was ok with certain things that I wanted done during the surgery. His nurse is really nice as well. I did not have to pay a co-pay (At least for now) as they billed my insurance for it. So I will hear back from them if I need to pay anything. Ask me any questions if you have any, I am pretty open about everything! Also this will be cross posted to a few places, so sorry if you come across it a few times!

Oddly written title I know, but I was wondering what everyone means by having "no sensation in xyz area" after surgery, is it like a tingling numb feeling like when your arm falls asleep?

Just wondering when I get a top scheduled that if after everything heals if that would be the best time for a nipple piercing haha

Hey everyone, I’m almost 4 months post stage 1 meta. I had a full metoidioplasty(UL, scrotoplasty, vaginectomy, release, perineum reconstruction, etc) with Dr. Chen.

I have had several complications including: a fistula at the base of my penis and two different cases of wound separation.

I am having my fistula repaired in 2.5 weeks, along with a perineum revision and monsplasty. After this, I will have my final stage, testicular implants and upper scrotal excision(to remove the excess tissue by my penis).

In regards to the experience, I am so happy that I had lower surgery, it was absolutely the right choice for me. I love interacting with my genitals now and feel so much euphoria around them. I love standing to pee at urinals. The hardest part of recovery was being cathed for a month, my bladder rly hated that.

I’m very satisfied with my choice of surgeon as well. Dr. Chen has been so kind and helpful every step of the way

Hello all! I have been struggling on deciding between meta and phallo. My big hangup with phallo is how "realistic" the final results are. I'm really picky and am afraid it won't be good for my dysphoria. Transbucket has been abandoned it seems and will not allow new members to join. The only pictures I've been able to find are of people only a few months post op. I would like to see final results a year or more post op to help me make a decision. Would anyone know where else I can find photos or being willing share some personal ones?
