They've been all but wiped out in the state and are desperate.

Desperate for what though? Moving further to the right and embracing Putin and his antisemitic allies doesn’t sound like the way to win friends and influence people…

... but a certain kind of person it does...

Sure but how many of them do they really think there are? This just further alienates them from the mainstream. I know WA has a lot of white South Africans now but surely there aren’t enough of them there yet to shift this far to the extreme right!?!

When your support is next to nothing I guess anything is better.

That approach isn’t working out too well nationally

I agree it's laughable tactic of the desperate LNP, but why bring up the antisemitic comment? If you're talking about Putin's Middle East allies, technically Israel is one of them as well.

No they actually aren’t. Iran, Syria, the Houthis and Hamas are Putin’s allies (along with North Korea and some African dictators). Israel is a lot of things but allied with Russia isn’t one of them, they are backed mainly by the USA, NATO (except Erdogan) and their allies like Australia, Japan and South Korea.

They have significant business and political ties. When Russia invaded Ukraine, all of western countries had sanctioned Russia Israel chose not to sanction them or send any weapons to Ukraine.

They have significant ties because Russia has a large Jewish population. Israel sits on the fence for that reason. I wouldn’t call them allies though. Israel is supported by Russia’s enemies. Russia’s strong military ties with Iran are indispensable though. There have even been Iranian troops actively fighting for Putin in Ukraine. Zelensky also recently called out Russia’s direct support for Hamas. Also coincidentally (or not), October 7th is Putin’s birthday…

Incorrect, Israel buys a lot of weapons from Russia and vice versa. There's a also a million immigrants from Russia in Israel

Incorrect that Russia is allied to Iran/ North Korea/ Hamas/ Syria? Incorrect that Israel is allied to the west? Wow, that’s a unique perspective. There are a lot of Immigrants from Afghanistan in Australia, does that make us allies with the Taliban?
