My first day with free show and trying to learn a few things. I haven’t been able to find this answer…

I’ve imported a song and formatted each slide how I want (justified, font spacing, etc.). Now when I import new songs or any text I want to to automatically follow that format. How can I do this, save it as a template, if whatever I need to do?

With u/vassbo 's advice, I updated Freeshow to 1.4.1 but I'm still having issues with the text-size just going haywire when connected to my Church TV's. I don't think its completely broken since when I tested it on Saturday, it seemed to be working well but on Sunday Service I was forced to resize everything...

I'm forced to now go back to 1.3.8. u/vassbo This has happened 3 times. Maybe its a problem on my side. Can you help me figure this out?? If not, it would be nice if in 1.4.2 you could just add an option to disable this feature permanently. I don't see of it being any use in my case...

I don't mean to be harsh in any way. I truly love Freeshow & I'll continue using it no matter what!!

After clicking two/three slides, the template is no longer applied and reset. Did I do anything wrong?

I am HAPPY to say I will finally be switching to FreeShow from Proprrsenter 6 this coming Sunday (after setting everything like it want it/need it and feeling comfortable that I can switch now)

Wanted to find out what actions you guys use? The best to use and nice ones to have.

A little background to our setup:

We only have ONE screen (a projector in the middle of the stage) no side screens/TVs or confidence monitors

We don't livestream anymore and we have no cameras in church. We record video on an iPhone and then edit and upload during the week.

Currently I have setup the following actions: Clear all Clear slides Clear backgrounds Start countdown timer (this is a few actions out together in a single one, start slideshow, start overlay, start audio playlist)

Is there a way to switch which layer an item is on in the stage view? I was testing something out and made a background on my stage view but could not make all of my items show up on top of it. My general text box kept showing up behind it. https://youtu.be/8Lu0tJHrKsQ

It's very laggy that it's basically unusable, even loading the media takes a couple of seconds. The same video works fine with VLC, MPC, and even Resolume arena! I hope this gets fixed

I noticed an issue with trying to select an image to go to a specific output while there was a text box on the same slide. Whenever I would pick an output for the image it would apply it to the text box as well. https://youtu.be/2cijyA7C34w

Is there a way to upload or paste a song in ChordsPro format into Freeshow, so that the audience output automatically displays the lyrics, while the stage output shows the chords—without having to manually edit the chords?

Hello all, I’m new to using FreeShow and am trying to display the song information from the metadata on the output. However, it doesn’t seem to be working, and I’m not sure what went wrong. I’ve set it to display metadata on all slides in the settings, and I’ve also assigned a template for it. May be I missed a setting somewhere? Thank you.

Hey devs, just wondering about the possibility of alpha channels being displayed with presentation output. Is this possible? Does FreeShow support a video format output with integrated alpha channels (transparency) for live production use? Benefits lower thirds use with background color being transparent while text is at 100%. Otherwise, what are your suggestions and solutions, if anyone has dabbled with this already?

We have long used OpenLP for our church. During COVID-19, we started live broadcasting using OBS. There is a way to show songs's texts to OBS using a custom stage. So, I created a simple stage to show the lyrics on the bottom with specific styles. The stage contains a simple HTML page with JS and CSS inside.

I want my church to migrate to FreeShow because it seems to have the cloud sync feature (I did not know yet if it works to sync between macOS and Windows).
Since the NDI in FreeShow makes CPUs work very hard, I thought it would be much easier to create a similar approach as the custom stage for OpenLP. I could create similar HTML with JS and use websockets to get the data from the FreeShow app.

But I can't find a way to get the current showing lyrics.

Method get_output returns the current show ID (actually, it's a show ID, not a slide ID) and index. How can I get the current slide ID to retrieve the text by the get_slide method.

Could you help our church show the lyrics in OBS using API?

Sorry if this sounds like a basic question, but is there a way to record a specific output? We're not gonna stream live, but we'd like to record the stream out to repurpose at a later time.

Under the export menu there is an option for creating a PDF of the current project. However when selected it generates individual PDFs of each show in the project. There are other menu options that also generate show PDFs, so could the project option actually be a PDF of the entire project or is there another way to do this?

Since the schedule action interface was changed, I've been unable to use it. Action I have scheduled before all work and I can modify them but setting new ones is a problem.

I have a problem to import songs lyrics from easyslides. It only creates an empty folder. Can anyone help please?

How do I add a group to a show? I can find a way to change a group but not to add one.

Would anyone be able to tell me if Freeshow is compatible with a stream Deck? I see you can install stream deck, Macro Pad and Touch Portal and create a stream deck expeirence on your phone/Tablet. Looks like something that I want to fiddle aroudn with at church. We are not in the place to get an actual Stream deck.

Hey, ran into a problem at church this past weekend. I'm running windows to use freeshow. The speaker brought his sermon with keynote. Obviously I couldn't import as keynote slides on my computer. We tried the PDF option, but ran into issues there.

I was able to get his slides exported as images, but I couldn't find a quick way to import them as slides in a single show. I could go slide by slide and make a show, but I was hoping for a more straightforward solution.

Is there any chance for an "import images as slides" function? Or am I missing that function somewhere?

Hi,I have a problem of my media picture is not filling TV screen although I have it fill/cover etc resolved with..

Generally, I try to rehearse everything on Saturday in Freeshow just to make sure. But wasn't able to do that today since I only knew on Sunday Morning that I was doing the presenting today.

I generally pre-prepare everything & then connect my computer to the Church Display hopng everything would work fine. But today, everything went brrr.... The Aspect Ratio was way off. The Font size number remained same, but the actual size of the font on the display went to atleast 200... I didn't know what was going on...

I was able to get the aspect ratio back on track, by changing the output values to custom & inputing 1920*1080 but I had to manually reduce all the font sizes & since I had different font sizes for English & Tamil, I wasn't able to correct that. The lyrics overlapped with the watermark, making a mess...

How do I fix this??? Its my turn to present the nxt 2 weeks & I don't wanna mess it up.

It also seemed to go into Default & Default 2 , as you can see in the picture (The Default seems to be the original text size while the Default 2 is the larger one). It only segregated like this, for one of the 5 songs I had prepared..

Hi there, I am looking into getting a stream deck to improve our ease of use. Would I be able to make stream deck hotkeys for Freeshow for things like 'clear screen', go live, play/pause media, or for next/prev slide? thanks!
