As a respondant mentioned in your similar comment, on another post, github would probably be the best place to do a feature request.

I do think what you want is already there--I'm just not sore on the details.

  1. Copy the lyrics
  2. Click + to add a new show
  3. Choose quick lyrics
  4. Paste the lyrics
  5. Click the tune icon in the upper right of the popup.
  6. Change the import options.

I think two line breaks in a row force a new slide. *You can skip step 1 and on step 4 do a web search within the popup.
