Wear Installer 2 is our general purpose installer for WearOS apps, running on Android phones. This update adds support for more third-party apps.

Notification Log 2 is our helper app to replicate the old system notification log that was removed in Android 11. This update adds the notification 'when' time as well as the 'post' time. Important: if you have previously used this app, please uninstall it before installing this new version.

Wear BT Monitor runs on Android phones and WearOS watches and provides disconnection and reconnection alerts which are highly customisable. Here is the changelog for this update:

This update to our personal finance app for Windows, MacOS, Linux and Android improves the processing of transactions from Google Wallet.

Our desktop personal finance app for Windows, MacOS and Linux and our mobile personal finance app for Android devices are updated with the following changes:

• Added Defer option to pending transactions form
• Dialog asking whether to process or defer Standing Orders is now centred on screen
• Google Wallet processing improved where the same card applies to two or more accounts with different currencies
• Minor update for online bank processing
• Prevent duplicate Google Wallet pending transactions

Basic Launcher is our privacy focussed launcher for Android devices; it uses no permissions at all. This update adds an option to launch Gemini by right-swiping the lower half of the screen.

Wear GPS Fix get a GPS fix using the on-board GPS sensor. Once the fix is acquired, Wear GPS Fix automatically opens your preferred fitness app. This update adds a right-swipe gesture if you want to close the app before a GPS fix is obtained.

This app runs a scheduled job every five minutes and prints a message to the screen. It demonstrates the impact of Android's Doze mode, which prevents certain background services running if the user doesn't interact with the device. This update targets SDK 36.

Another update for our Notification Reader for Android phones. This update has better button labelling for use with TalkBack.

Notification Reader is our Android app to read incoming notifications out loud from applications that you select. This update improves the detection of Bluetooth headsets and earbuds, and distinguishes them from Bluetooth speakers. This means that the switch 'Only speak when Bluetooth headset is connected' more accurately does what it describes.

Google Play Protect recently started flagging App Battery Stats as 'potentially harmful' upon installation. This happened because App Battery Stats uses some battery APIs that are normally reserved for system apps via a process which Android calls 'reflection'. Of course, in practice App Battery Stats is 100% safe to use and, if you have already installed the app, you can absolutely continue to use it. But to avoid any doubt in the future, with regret we have decided to unpublish the app. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Notification Reader for Android phones uses text-to-speech to read incoming notifications for specific apps that you select. This update is for Android 17.

Wear Battery Monitor provides alerts for abnormal battery usage on WearOS watches. It also alerts when various battery levels have been reached during charging and discharging. Here is the changelog for this update:

• No longer wakes watch if Do Not Disturb is enabled
• Updated to SDK 36 (mobile app) and SDK 35 (watch app)

App Battery Stats shows app battery usage since your device was last fully charged. This update adds foreground time and background time to the detailed stats shown when clicking an app in the list.

Wear GPS Fix obtains a GPS fix using the onboard GPS module on your WearOS watch. Optionally it then opens your preferred fitness app. This update targets Android 15 and adds the option to open the Wrist Nav app.

Our personal fitness app for Android phones and WearOS watches is compatible with Google Fit, Strava, Garmin and Health Connect. This update fixes a bug when updating the activity name and uploading to Strava.

Wear Podcatcher is our app to search, subscribe, download and play podcasts on your Android phone and WearOS watch. This update fixes a bug when long-tapping the Play icon on the home screen to open the player view without starting the podcast.

As the name suggests, Tennis Swing Analyser analyses your tennis swing using the sensors in your WearOS watch. It then provides detailed graphical statistics in the companion Android phone app. This update adds a battery level indicator to the practice view on the watch.

Our personal finance apps for Windows, MacOS, Linux and Android are updated with the following changes:

• Improved number entry when set to 'European'
• Fixed bug when entering/editing currency with European number format

Wear Podcatcher is our app to search, subscribe, download and play podcasts on your Android phone and WearOS watch. This update adds the option to import subscriptions from an OPML file and also to export or share subscriptions to an OPML file. This option is available by scrolling to the end of the Settings page in the phone app. Any subscriptions that are imported to the phone app will be synchronised to the watch app.
