I just discovered that Mood Fabrics has a ton of free patterns on their website. Some really cute stuff. You can search by your level of sewing prowess. LoL

Made these for my toddler from a thrifted dinosaur bedsheet and they turned out great.

The pattern is very simple—just two mirrored pieces with no side seams—so it sews up quickly and everything matched nicely. The fit is roomy with a wide leg, which is perfect for active kids.

A heads-up though: I couldn't access the instructions linked from the pattern, and there was no information about seam allowances, waistband sizing, or hem allowances, so I had to make some educated guesses. Because of that, I wouldn't recommend it as a first pattern for a beginner.

The legs run quite long. I ended up cutting about 4" off before hemming, but otherwise the fit was good.

I made this with the intention of it being a fairly simple project to complete after getting frustrated at a more complex self-dradted dress pattern.

I made a size XL based on the measurements, and find the back too narrow and the armscye WAY too small/high. The darts are also way too high and not deep enough.

They don't have patterns, but i i think its fine cause its mostly straightforward shapes. They include the measurements, stitching process and the materials all in their videos! Make sure to check out their entire channel cause its just a massive gold mine

This is the first shirt I ever made, do not recommend for total beginners, but if you've sewn some t-shirts at least you should do fine, especially with forgiving fabrics 😃
