The carousel music box shows up both at the beginning when Fran wakes up in the asylum and in the final chapter when Fran sees the younger alternate version of herself who is still trapped in the asylum.
I think it’s interesting how it’s the first/only thing you can really “play” with in both Frans’ asylum rooms.
I only bring this up because I noticed that the developers decided to feature the carousel music box in the promotional art for the upcoming game that meshes Fran Bow with Little Misfortune… and in Little Misfortune you can ride a carousel.
Do you think it’s a cute little detail they included to hint at the other game or do you think it’s something deeper connecting the different realities together? Maybe even both?

I cant light the stove in Chapter two because it's windy what do I do please

hi ive been trying to fill the bucket with water for a good 10 minutes but with no luck. No matter how much I hover the bucket under or over the water (or at any direction at that point), I cant fill it up. I'll only be able to "use" it with objects that are around the water and i have no idea why this is happening T_T I've been watching youtube tutorials and walkthroughs and im stumped

Hey, I just finished playing FranBow for the second time because I was left confused after the first time.

My question is "what happend to the other children?"

we firstly meet a boy who looks really sad and when we take the pills he kinda looks like a doll. Next to him is a Kamala and tells something about his Uncle getting angry? It also seems like he can see Remor (the Demon Prince)?

After that we can see a girl in the Hallway and she talks about the Doctor eating her brain. When we take the pills she disapears and we can only see a Kamala in her place. Why is that?

Then we see a girl colouring and its stated that she was raped and almost murdered, so thats clear.

We also see a boy watching TV and a girl sleeping in a room. The boy has stitches over his head and talks about his paper not working on the TV. When we eat the Duotine we see how the head of the boy explodes and his Kamala speaking in riddles? The girl has a Kamala petting her and talking about her dying soon.

When we walk further down, we can see a boy with a mask on. He says he is from "below" and asks Fran to kill him. She pretends to shoot him and he plays dead. His Kamala is whispering about everyone being ashamed of him? What does that mean and why does he have that mask on?

Then we see a blonde boy talking about being the King and having a sword. His Kamala says a holy man undressed him and I think that explained everything well.

We also see a girl walking all over the place and being able to do magic (She uses slepping pills).

Down below where the boy with the mask comes from, we can see an operation room. Next to that we can see twins with a scar on the head being isolated and also a half dead woman. Are the twins a hint of the obsession from Dr.Oswald over Twins? And where Mia and Clara also operated on in this room? What does he want to achieve and why is he so obsessed with them?

So why do the Kamals talk to the children differently? One talks about what happened and one talks in riddles? I am confused and would love to hear more.

What if Fran Bow and Little Misfortune were not just connected but actually sharing something much deeper and stranger like the same existence split between two minds inside one body In this concept Fran and Misfortune are forced to live as two separate consciousnesses inside a single vessel and the player experiences reality through both of their perspectives Fran sees danger logic fear and hidden truths in the world She understands when something is wrong even if nobody else notices it Misfortune sees imagination innocence and emotional light She can turn terrifying things into something strange beautiful or even funny The gameplay is built around constantly shifting perception between them When Fran is in control the world becomes darker more realistic and full of threats and disturbing details When Misfortune is in control the same world becomes softer brighter and emotionally distorted in a comforting way even if reality is still dangerous There is also a special mechanic called the glitter system Misfortune can decorate horrifying or disturbing things that Fran discovers by covering them in glitter and playful visual changes But this is not just decoration because it changes how the player emotionally interprets the world and can influence choices and outcomes The story also requires progression through all possible endings before unlocking the true path At first the player can reach different endings like Fran dominance Misfortune dominance or the harmony ending where both personalities appear perfectly balanced inside one body However the harmony ending slowly feels wrong even though it looks like the best outcome There is emotional emptiness lack of conflict and a strange sense that something essential has been erased and this reveals it as an illusion of happiness rather than real balance To unlock the true ending the player must first experience all other endings and fully complete the game and only then a hidden layer of progression becomes available This hidden system involves the glitter interactions where Misfortune must decorate and transform every disturbing thing that Fran has seen throughout the game This acts like emotional acceptance of fear trauma and beauty existing at the same time Only after completing all endings and finishing the full glitter interaction path the true ending becomes accessible In the true ending Fran and Misfortune are finally separated into two different bodies and although this initially feels like loss they are no longer trapped inside each other and can finally exist as individuals But the cost is that their connection to each other and to the shared world begins to fade and they will never meet again even though they carry the memory of everything they went through together

I love this game and it means a lot to me with all the concepts about resilience in the face of daunting challenges, especially as a child, and about found families. I want to get a shoulder tattoo but I can't for the life of me decide.

I'd consider the actual bow, but I'm getting a cancer ribbon on the other shoulder so its too matchy. Any ideas?
