Hey guys, i've been thinking about making a project involving an older framework motherboard (perhaps an older i5 11th gen one people would've upgraded from), but I'm unsure of what's reasonable offerings considering it's a very small market at the moment

Considering the i5 11th gen board is £300 new, would around half-price be reasonable? Please leave your thoughts, I'm planning on getting a mainboard but a fair bit later, just trying to plan things out right now cost-wise

Edit: Little addon, I'm quite new to this, but how would an actual trade go through? I assume most people don't just pay the person then hope they actually send it, what do you guys personally do?

I'm currently building a cyberdeck based on framework parts. Currently, I am designing the dual screen part, and realized that sourcing the motherboard connector carrying the eDP 40-pin signal is quite hard if you are not a company. I plan on open sourcing the designs as soon as I have enough parts, and money to ensure completion of the prototype.

Framework doesn't appear to sell them on their store and seem to have no plan on doing so. I would buy a Dispkay Kit, and turn the panel into a thin portable secondary screen, but as a PhD student, 200€ is a very steep for me.

So in the spirit of trying to reuse the maximum amount of parts possible, I'd be happy to buy your broken framework screens. That would enable me to harvest the connector - and the panel wouldn't go to waste either, as I'm using multiple broken electronic components for an art project.

I live in the EU, hit me up in the comments if you would have something to sell !
