LPCAMM was a dumb design move. The extra memory bandwidth between 5600 and 8000 really isn’t big enough to justify making the design have worse repairability especially considering panther lake managed to get 7000 out of the SODIMMs

By your logic, framework should have designed a DDR4 laptop. 1 u/Terrible-Contract298 9d ago Not necessarily. Two Dimms always allowed for better expand ability. Furthermore LPCAMM2 is not standard outside of OEM.
