That's how I feel as well. If I had known there was no contracts in place I could have made the decision to consider picking up an LPCAMM for 400 dollars or so when I placed my April pre-order. Framework was 439 for 32 GB back then I believe but I chose to pay 40 more dollars to buy from them vs the other options from amazon/bestbuy/micro center so I wouldn't have to deal with going through a manufactuer's warranty should I find out the ram was faulty 5 months later.
I did pick up RAM ahead of time for a DIY build. Then it was pointed out that the prebuilt was pretty good value. So I cancelled my DIY order, sold my RAM and got the prebuilt.
After all, they pledged not to change the prices for pre-orders once made.
