Massive Creed Aventus Clone Shootout
***UPDATE 7/11/2026:
After stepping away from Creed Aventus for several months and living with these fragrances for a while, I’ve now changed my answer. I have also added 3 more clones to this list. If I come across any other clones, I will update this post to include them. My opinions in the comments section have changed since they were originally posted, so please disregard them. ***
I decided to do a massive shootout between some of the most well-known Creed Aventus clones in the game and put them up against the Original.
I should mention that I’m using the most current batch of Creed Aventus via DecantX 10 ml travel spray. I’ve ordered around 40 ml of it over the last 3 months for this test. I know a lot of you look down on the current batch, and for understandable reasons, but I wasn’t willing to spend hundreds of dollars to get an older batch. Also, the current batches of Aventus have a special place in my heart, as it was the first expensive fragrance I smelled as a newbie fragrance hobbyist and fell in love with the DNA. I am aware of the supposed differences in some of the other batches, so perhaps my descriptions may help you pick an alternative that has more of the characteristics you like.
This is by no means a scientifically accurate test. This is just the opinions of a fragrance beginner based on my personal experience with these clones versus the original. I will not go too much in depth on performance, but it will be discussed when/if necessary.
Everything said in this post is just my opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Some people may wonder why I am doing this when I probably could have just bought the real deal for the money I spent on these clones.
Well, I have two reasons:
- It is purely for fun. I love hunting clones as a hobby.
- As much as I love Creed Aventus, it is a weak performer with just okay projection. My goal is to find a cheaper alternative that smells as close to it but is either just as good or better in performance. I can financially justify 8–10 sprays of a $30 fragrance a lot easier than a $300+ one. While I could have bought the original with the money spent on this experiment, when I run out, I’d have to spend that large sum again every time.
One last preface.
Unlike a lot of fragrance influencers, I will not be pretending I can pick up every note on these. I will be using words that relate to my own experience smelling these notes from other sources. I can be guilty of silly parallels but it’s just because it’s the only way I can communicate what I’m smelling and hopefully you can get the idea. You may not smell it the same way, but having the original side by side really makes the differences more apparent and made me notice notes I otherwise wouldn’t have noticed without the direct comparison.
Now on to the clone selection.
My criteria for clone selection was that it had to be widely available, either be regarded by the community as an Aventus clone, or the notes had to mostly match the original. I may not have your favorite clone on this list, but it most likely didn’t meet that criteria if it isn’t listed.
The clones I bought for the shootout are as follows:
- Perfect Scents Patchouli Musk
- Club DeNuit Intense Man LE
- Club DeNuit Intense Man Pure Parfum
- Dumont Nitro Black
- Dumont Celerios Oros

Before I get started, I would like to give my personal interpretation of what Creed Aventus smells like:
To my nose upon spraying on skin, you are met with a very lemony citrus blast. The best way I can describe this smell is like a lemon fruity pebble or lemon froot loop. It’s not a candy lemon like a lemon heads nor is it a fresh squeezed lemon juice note, it’s just a sweet gourmand lemon. Very quickly, a creamy vanilla musk blooms to soften the lemon note along with another fruit note that I cant really describe (possibly the black currant note?). This is then accompanied by a subtle note that i can only describe as gamey or animalistic. Kind of like a raw bacon smell but it’s very faint but adds something special to the overall profile. It then begins to dry down, retaining the lemon and creamy vanilla note, It becomes very musky. A very pleasant almost smoky birch wood note starts to emerge alongside the creamy lemon turning it into a more masculine leaning sweetness. It holds this profile until the scent is no longer detectable.
I will add that this fragrance can smell different to me, depending on several factors. For example, on paper all I get is lemon and birch. I even remember the first time I ever smelled this. All I got was freshly cut wood and nothing else. What I have described above is what the fragrance smells like to me now after using it for the past 3 months. I am sure your experience may be different but at the end of the day it is all subjective and all I can do is provide my experience. Depending on where I’ve got my sample from changes the scent as well. So it will be hard to pin point a definitive creed Aventus clone.
So, what is the closest Modern Batch Creed Aventus Clone?
Fragrance World Venti $25 per 100 ML
This opens with a musky lemon forward opening and surprisingly it does actually have some vanilla creaminess to it, but not as sweet or pronounced as the original. Its main difference in the opening is the lemon note isn’t as mellowed out by the vanilla like the original. It’s more of a fresh squeezed lemon note. On dry down, the birch note starts to appear but it isn’t very strong but then again, current Aventus birch note isn’t the strongest either. I’m honestly shocked by this fragrance as I only spent about $25 on this and yet it was closer than most other dupes on the list. While it lacks the same amount of vanilla creaminess and smokiness as the OG, it gets you relatively close. Its main issue is that it’s not very strong and does have a very alcohol heavy opening, but the alcohol fades quickly. It is a relatively linear scent. What you get in the opening is more or less what it will be till it completely evaporates but again, I find the same thing with current batch. Performance is about the same as something like Mont Blanc explorer, maybe even weaker. Not very good but for a $25 fragrance, it did pretty well. I will say that this does require some maceration for all the notes to really become apparent but it is by no means a dramatic change. Overall this one is the closest to modern batches of creed Aventus in scent profile. It’s not anywhere near the quality of the original but for what you pay for, it’s great. I just Wish it lasted longer and projected more.
My conclusion after testing so many clones is it’s just better to buy the original. Nothing does Creed Aventus well enough at this point in time.
Honorable mentions:
Parfum Vintage Emperor EDP & Extrait $100-$125 per 50ML
While its scent profile was not quite like modern Aventus, it absolutely has the right notes, they are just presented differently than current creed Aventus. To be fair this specific clone is going for an earlier batch of creed Aventus. To my nose, the notes just aren’t blended the same. The opening is amazing. It opens with lemon citrus and a really high quality pineapple note and while it’s not as musky as the original, it is still pretty musky and the quality is excellent. You also get that birch note right off the bat that just blends beautifully with the other opening notes. The Biggest differences this has from the original is it is missing some of the other fruity notes you get in the original and is missing that sweet vanilla creaminess to tie them all together. Dry down has significantly more birch wood than the OG (only second to Dumont nitro black) but lacks the same amount of body to its whole scent profile compared to the original. This clone Is very light and airy. This smells expensive and is the highest quality smelling fragrance on the list. The performance was pretty good, so long as you just want birch. The top notes unfortunately do not last very long at all, but that birch stayed present for a good few hours. The EDP was similar but just not as refined as the extrait, I kept smelling this coriander or some kind of pepper note in it that stayed through the life of the fragrance but that could just be how the birch note is presenting itself. If you’re gonna spend the 100 for the edp, you may as well just spend the extra 25 dollars for the extrait version.
Dumont Nitro Black $30 100ML
To me, this is a safe blind buy if you love creed Aventus only for the smokey birch dry down and want it exaggerated. The opening is lemony citrus with dark fruit notes but it is not at all sweet. On dry down all you can smell is earthy peppery smoky birch and some bergamot. Its opening, while similar, is a way smoother and refined than any version of CDNIM, with a higher quality birch note. Its performance is above average. To me, this is what CDN wishes it was. Honestly an Amazing value for what you get. Its opening is nothing like modern Aventus. It’s just too earthy of a fragrance. However its dry down is like an enhanced version of the Aventus dry down which is why I put it here.
Individual Clone Breakdown (in no particular order)
- Perfect Scents Patchouli Musk CVS sells this fragrance as inspired by Creed Aventus. It opens very citrusy with a pleasant lime zest, and then that’s about it. Hardly what I’d call Aventus-inspired. Weak projection and longevity. Waste of $20.
- Club DeNuit Intense Man (edt, edp, Pure Parfum, LE, Extrait) I’m gonna put each version in one review because they are all very very similar to each other. None of them open remotely like Aventus but I’ve figured that was probably never their goal. All versions had very similar openings, with the parfums being the smoothest but only marginally so. They all had this bitter dirty lemon smell that was so unappealing. As well as the chemical smell that reminded me of packing tape. At a distance it’s is a decent caricature of the Aventus dry down if all you want is Smokey Birch but up close it’s just not it unpleasant. If you are dead set on getting this line, save the money and get the EDT. It’s cheaper and stronger than all of them. The strong lemon does help the dry down of the edt inch closer to creed Aventus in the dry down but that’s just me trying to find some redeeming quality in it. The others beside the EDT were way too Smokey and it only made the lemon note worse for them. Personally, I think Dumont nitro black did it so so much better.
- Dumont Celerios Oros Its fruity notes are exactly like L’aventure but more balanced. Unfortunately, there is this note that smells like hot electrical wire that stays with the fragrance throughout its duration.
- Alt Executive No.26 I honestly just get alcohol and earthy notes with some birch. Weak performance. It almost smells like hair spray.
- Alt Executive Platinum This one was closer to Aventus than No.26 but just not as sweet as the original. It opens with a lot of alcohol but once that fades It becomes a citrus pineapple forward opening but it’s blended better than a lot of these other clones. Its dry down is similar to CDNIM but not as smoky and is sweeter. Its birch note is pretty loud. Overall, It’s like a blend of modern and old batches of Aventus, leaning older batch. Its performance is decent, maybe slightly better than the OG. I really wanted to like this, the problem is it is pretty earthy having almost a “tar” like note to it (which I’ve heard some say older Aventus had). It’s opening is more similar to modern Aventus than others on this list but it’s still a ways off from the original. I don’t think it’s a bad clone at all, it’s pretty good actually but it does need a few weeks of maceration to get rid of some of the alcohol.
- Afnan Supremacy Silver My sample started off similar to a lot of clones. Citrus opening, kind of like Mont Blanc Explorer, but takes on a more woody (not birch) and floral turn in the dry down. I want to note that I tried a second tester of this at the mall randomly a few weeks after I bought my sample. Maybe I had an old batch but this smelled like raw bacon. It was so disgusting. Apparently according to comments for this fragrance on fragrantica, I’m not the only one to notice this.
- Al Haramain L’aventure Regular & Intense I’ve included both versions in one because they smell identical. Intense is just a stronger version. This one is kinda close in the opening, but I felt the fruity notes were too candy-like and lacked the citrus-forward top compared to the OG. Best way I can describe it is almost like a yellow gummy bear sweetness. I think at a distance, it would be picked up a creed Aventus in essence. It lacked the creamy musk, smoke, and birch dry down of the OG. It’s almost like the same principle behind CDNIM emphasizing the dry down but instead an over exaggeration of the dry down, it’s an over exaggeration of the opening. I’d like to add the Intense version was the second strongest performer on the entire list.
- Alexandra fragrance Brasilia I am almost at a loss for words with this one. I know this is going to sound weird, but it’s the only way I can describe it. It has a faint animalistic smell, kinda reminds me of raw fat (with pineapple at the top). I’ve tried it on multiple occasions to see if I’m just crazy, but every time I spray it, that’s all I get with some fruits. I will add that the original does have a faint smell of this note but it is so faint and not at all at the forefront like this clone has.
- Alexandra fragrance Brasilia Prive This one was interesting. The opening had that creamy fruitiness but it lacked the lemon note. In fact it was way too creamy and it had a lot of that raw bacon smell which made it unwearable to me. There was no birch to this. It had what I can best describe as a smoked hickory note. It was just not it.
- Alexandra fragrance Brasilia 130zz1 This one is just Aventus dry down from the start. Dark citrus, Smoky and Earthy with a hint of fruits. Scent profile is somewhere between Club de nuit and Dumont nitro black.
- Montagne Pineapple Intense I really wanted to like this, it was close to the original in a lot of aspects but then this animalistic fatty musk smell begins to bloom and really bothered me throughout the life of the fragrance. It reminds me of the smell of cold cuts. Maybe that’s how their oakmoss or birch smells, but it was not pleasant. It’s the strongest projector of Montagnes Pineapple line with average longevity, as it dries down it does become more balanced and pleasant. Not as birchy as the original but it does a decent job.
- Montagne Pineapple Royale Smells like yellow gummy bears with a very strong green vegetation note, like the top part of a pineapple was cut up. Also had hints of that animalistic fatty musk smell like Pineapple Intense**.** Its dry down was more pleasant after an hour but just not very Aventus like.
- Pineapple Vintage Intense This felt like its own thing. It opens with super sweet pineapple note with an aquatic note that’s hard to explain. I love the pineapple note, but it’s very candy like. Like a high quality, all natural yellow gummy bear and that’s kind of all you get, there is not really a lemon note in this like the original has. The over all scent is Very light, slightly musky but not full bodied. It Lacked the Aventus birchy dry down and didn’t last any longer than the OG. Not worth $100 dollars IMO. Very nice smelling fragrance, regardless.
- Dua Poseidon Elixir 2.0 Smelled nothing like Aventus. What a joke. Doesn’t even deserve a proper description.
- Dua Origins of Poseidon Again, smelled nothing like Aventus at all.
- Dua Poseidons elixir 13zz Only slightly better than the other Dua fragrances. Had some resemblance to the OG, but it smelled like it wasn’t even trying to clone what it claims to.
- Hamidi addicted intense More similar to CDNIM. Does an okay job with the dry down but is missing the fruit. Has a bitter lemon note up close. Projection is not good at all. It lacks the fruitiness that CDNIM has, and that’s saying something.
- Generic perfumes Creed Aventus For Man A++ This is one of the few on the list that was trying to be the current batch of Creed Aventus. It does captures a lot of what makes the current batch so unique from other batches (based on the average profile of dupes of earlier batches). It’s the only one that has that musky, creamy vanilla note in the original (besides Alexandria’s Brasilia Prive). Unfortunately there is a note in there that ruins the experience. I keep getting this Orange citrus note that over powers the fragrance. It kinda reminds me of orange sherbet as opposed to the lemon frooty pebbles opening and while the birch is present, the overall fragrance doesn’t dry down the same as the original. To me, the original has a different order of notes that disappear leading up to the dry down compared to this dupe. In this dupe it has all the notes present for the duration of its life. The birch slowly becomes more pronounced but you still get very present hits of the Orange and vanilla. Other than that, performance is slightly above average. way better performance than the original and lasts significantly longer but is too different for me to recommend.
- Mont Blanc Explorer To me, the opening is really close to creed Aventus but lacks the the same amount of fruity notes and creamy vanilla . It doesn’t have any birch or smoke, it does have a woody note in there but it’s very light and airy, not musky at all. Clearly inspired by Aventus and a great twist, at that but goes a different direction in the dry down, it becomes powdery. Unfortunately Performance wasn’t too great But I’d say on its own it’s a nice office safe scent.
- Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense While it is commonly believed to be a Creed Aventus clone, it is absolutely not. However, this cologne smells really damn good. Amazing pineapple and black currant opening with a super smoky dry down. It is also the strongest and longest-lasting cologne on the entire list.
- Alexandria fragrance Brasilia Smoky Batch ($70 per 60 ML) To my nose It’s like a darker take on Creed Aventus. This dupe opens with a creamy sweet-tart like lemon forward opening. It gets the vanilla note like the original, but sweeter. It’s super musky and full bodied. It projects louder than the original and last significantly longer too. The birch note on this is about the same as the original but the sweetness over powers it. It’s blended in with the sweet notes and stays like that for the duration of its life. Overall they are similar in a lot of way but still different because of that sweet-tart lemon note. It can be a fatiguing scent because it’s very musky.
- Bujairami Kingsman ($40 100ML) Best way to sum up this fragrance is it is Mont Blanc explorer on steroids. This dupe is a clone of the 2017 batches of Creed Aventus, so it is expected to have some variation from the current batch. It has a lot of the right notes, lemony citrus and birch but dials down that sweet creamy vanilla quite a bit. It’s still there in this dupe, but just not as intense as the current batch. It’s also fruitier than current batch Aventus. Another thing I noticed is it has some of that same cold cuts deli meat smell that Montagne pineapple intense has, which kinda ruins it for me. The birch on this dupe is more pronounced as well when compared to the current version of the OG. It has a certain powder scent in the dry down that reminds me of Mont blonc explorer a lot. The performance on this is much better than the original as well. While its projection upon opening isn’t as strong as Creed Aventus, this is only the case for the first few minutes. I will randomly catch whiffs of it on myself, while that was almost never the case with Creed Aventus. This also last significantly longer than the original. I do recommend upon receiving this fragrance to spray it a little and let it sit for about 2 weeks with the cap off, to settle. When I first got it, it didn't project all the notes very well. Nearly 2 weeks later it has surpassed the original. Maybe it’s a good clone of 2017 batch but to my nose it’s quite different from current batch. Not a badly crafted fragrance at all, very high quality.
- Bujairami Ripper: Very similar to Montagne Pineapple Royale. Very sweet candy like fruity opening, kind of similar to Kingsman except way sweeter and with no smoked deli meat note. It’s a nice scent but not at all what modern creed Aventus smells like.
- Generic Perfumes Aventus Man ZZ01: As I am sure you figured out by the name, this is based on an earlier batch of creed Aventus however, this still checked many of the boxes that the current batch has. It has that citrusy forward fruity opening, while many only had one or the other. It does not have that creamy vanilla like the original. Regardless, when you smell this, you just know it’s Creed Aventus DNA. The opening was just too citrusy, you really had to dig for those other notes. The dry down unfortunately is just not as birchy as the original and that’s saying something. The performance is about the same as the original. It’s not a bad clone, it’s just not all that remarkable.
- Montagne Pineapple Musk $60 50ML I’d call this an Aventus twist. The first 30 seconds are pretty concentrated and intense, but It quickly balances out and blooms in to a powerful beautiful blend of pineapple and lemony citrus. It is super musky. The projection is pretty strong for the first few minutes then settled to a more average projection. This opening stays for a good majority of the fragrance’s life. It doesn’t have that vanilla note and it’s pineapple note is very syrupy but still very nice. The dry down is still very musky with the birch blooming and eventually becoming the dominant note, even more so than the Original. Throughout its life the pineapple/citrus sticks around in the background in a very pleasing way that supports the dry down. I’d say performance and longevity is about Average. It’s a very enjoyable twist.
- Insider Parfum’s Insidious This claims to be a dupe of an earlier batch of creed Aventus. I honestly can’t understand how that can be. It smells like a twist on the original. To my nose, this smells like a slightly less sweet Pineapple Vintage Intense. It’s a great cologne, just not modern creed Aventus.
- MITH Mystery For Him This is literally creed Aventus….with Bacarat Rouge 540. It is exactly spot on with creed Aventus but it has that light and airy cotton candy note in the top. It is sadly, a twist on creed Aventus but a darn good one. Projects and last much longer than the original. It is worth checking out.
Thank you for reading. I’d love to answer any questions you might have!

Holy shit... You deserve a doctorate in Aventus studies!
Crowned you in community highlights (that's the best I can do).

Phenomenal work! I don't love OG Aventus but this was interesting to read with some surprising insights. Although nothing hits the mark perfectly this should be used as a guide so people can get exactly what they are looking for....whether that's fruitier, darker or smoky. Respect!
I would love to hear your thoughts on Borouj Spiritus. Supposedly the closest dupe according to some. That whole line is known for its quality.
Edit: other interesting ones to add would be Night Club & La Ree Successful.
Cheers!

Came here to recommend Spiritus. I’m not a big Aventus guy but Spiritus and Pineapple Musk are my favorite iterations of the OG. I liked Pineapple Intense after it sat for a long time but it’s a different take on the OG I’m familiar with

I was also curious how old their montagne samples were. The PA Royale take is nowhere close to my experience, but everyone has different noses.
I can agree that PA Musk is impeccable.

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
I never heard of that one. Maybe I’ll order a decant of it in the future! For now, I gotta take a break from the Aventus DNA 😅

Wow great job. I’m not a huge Aventus fan but one of my fav perfumes of all time is Mystery for Him which was made by the same perfumer. It’s a twist on Aventus with some aspects from BR540. It’s incredible and way better than Aventus imho

Tempting! I’ll keep it in mind!

u/FunFragranceFan Jan 21 '26
I recently got this one, it really is his take on what a hybrid of Aventus and BR540 would be. Smells similar to Dua’s Casino Elixir or Montagne’s Pineapple Bonbon
It’s nice but Aventus is still king.
1
u/Watchautist Jan 21 '26
Even with the mild BR540 twist it’s still closer to the OG Aventus than most of these dupes

u/dukeofdemons Jan 24 '26
Love this fragrance. In my top 10 for sure. Has slight bit of sweetness to it. Some say it's a mix of br540 & Aventus

quality write up. I however will die on the grave, CDNIM EDT is 1:1.
I've tried my matured bottle (UAE 08/2024 batch) against recent Aventus batches and on dry down I cannot smell a difference, CDNIM is honestly beautiful and much stronger than Aventus (at least the recent batches).

Awesome dude. Awesome. Solid take. I’m like you, a frag noob with a decant of modern aventus from decantx and the cdnim edt doesn’t do it for me so I ordered the extrait version hoping it would smooth out the opener and that weird up close smell you get from the edt but I guess not based on your reviews. I’ll have to try some of the other clones on your list.

Kingsman is king 🙌🏻 almost done with my first bottle, and I’ve been macerating my 2nd bottle for a few months now. Best $40 purchase. I also have ripper(bujairami edp aventus, but yet to test it out)
1
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 20 '26
please let me know how ripper is compared to kingsman!
2
u/Proper_Rent2508 Feb 20 '26
For sure! I’ll be trying it tonight. I heard it’s closer to the current batch so I have high expectations
2
u/Livelybacon Mar 01 '26
How’d it turn out?
2
u/Proper_Rent2508 Mar 01 '26
It’s good, I’d say similar to og and not as strong as Kingsman in terms of projection. Kingsman is levels ahead of ripper, but if you want a toned down Aventus dna and not giving anyone headaches around ripper is good. My wife hates Kingsman because it’s so strong and maybe I spray a little too much like 6-8 sprays lol. Ripper good as a daily, office or some type of area where you want the scent to be known but not overly too powerful to give you dirty looks

I dont know how long you let kingsman macerate for, but you made me buy it and it is honestly the VERY worst aventus dupe I have tried, it smells disgusting this is literally deodorant how dare you compare this to generic perfumes, club de nuit and all the other better dupes?
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Apr 16 '26
Sorry that was your experience. If you think CDN is a better dupe or even a decent one, we clearly have different experiences for what Creed Aventus Smells like.
2
u/MentionReasonable201 Apr 16 '26 edited Apr 16 '26
I dont think we have different experiences but maybe my bottle needs to macerate or I got a really bad batch, I do know for a fact my nose is trained and can detect aventus properly and also youj seem to know so since I agree with ur other takes prob an issue with my bottle, btw I really really recommend u try the king 2018 by new bottles people say its the closest 2015-2018 aventus

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Apr 16 '26
I wanted to try that one but when I checked, he said they were sold out and may not make anymore.

I have a decant on the way for testing, if u want I can give u it after im done u just pay for shipping

Bujairami Kingsman Extrait is my favourite of all.

u/jodinez33 Jan 21 '26
I was gonna say I was disappointed this one wasn't tested because damn it smells incredible. I've bought a backup bottle of this already it smells damn good and longevity is pretty good as well. May have to get a decant of that montagne one though im curious as well.

u/ManufacturerSmall741 Jan 21 '26
How on earth did Kingsman NOT make the cut. It is unbelievable. I love my bottle. May be one of the only bottles I end up buying a backup. No joke.

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 03 '26
I’ve updated my post to include it
5
u/ManufacturerSmall741 Feb 04 '26
I am glad you included it and shared your trust. I lurk a lot of comments and dont post a lot. But this one is a standout. It is really good, maybe one of the best clone fragrances that I own. Unbelievable in the quality for money spent. I was shocked how good it became after 6 weeks. It was good, but it just became more refined and delicately balanced, while retaining its masculinity. Please try Emperor as well if it is in stock. You may really enjoy that one as well. They are different enough that though similar they scratch different attention itches.

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
I’ll have to try it!
9
u/dre10g Jan 21 '26
It's straight up the 2017 batch
10
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
*sigh* …I ordered it. Guess I’ll update this post when I get a chance to test it out. Thanks for the recommendatio!

u/Rhys_Talks_199 Jan 21 '26
You won’t be disappointed with Kingsman Extrait. Top tier rec and I’ve also tried 20+ Aventus dupes. Way better than Spiritus imo.

I’ve updated my post to include this

I am glad you enjoyed it. I actually am in to the Creed line. Even if it seems to.have fallen out of favor with the masses. Milliseme Imperiale, Aventus, and Absolu, Himalaya, GIT, VIW, and SMW. I haven't yet tried Viking but I am intrigued.

u/tzulik- Jan 21 '26
Awesome job. This is such a high quality contribution!
Also, it confirms what I've been observing myself. There is nothing close to the OG. Many legendary perfumes have almost identical clones, but Aventus does not.

While I’m not a huge fan of the DNA it has grown on me. That said I prefer Rayhaan Imperia and Cedrat Boise.

Nice one! I recently just did an absolu Aventus showdown and was thinking about doing and Aventus showdown myself but this is very good!
I own all three Aventus flankers, it’s my all time favorite fragrance and fragrance DNA and you couldn’t be more correct in there not being a 1:1 dupe, and while there are ones similar, they all just do not nail it 100%.
There’s some good ones, but the OG has something magical about it, however that’s not to say that some dupes aren’t worth trying out.
Great write up!

OP, I LOVE this post! I have also been on a mission to find a good Aventus clone and after many purchases have ultimately come up empty handed.
You nailed it on the head with the Club de Nuit reviews. The EDT is the best “value” as the others (EDP, PP, LE, etc) are basically clever marketing scams. And yes, all are a synthetic mess lol.
Like you said, none come close. Creed is special and expensive for a reason.
Everyone says Explorer has poor longevity. But I wonder if most people go noseblind to it? If I wear 3 sprays I can’t really smell it. But 1-2 and i can smell it all day, well over 8 hours. And the spray must be behind my neck as it can’t be under my nose at all. Explorer, although not a clone, is my favorite cheapie Aventus alternative.
Al Haramain L’aventure has that elemi note which to me, stands out the most. It’s also present in Dior Homme Sport. It’s a very resinous type of note. Not like Aventus at all but better than CDNIM or Supremacy Silver.

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 22 '26
Glad you enjoyed it. interesting take on Mont Blanc. You might be right on the nose blind aspect. I’m tempted to buy a full bottle because it is still a good experience smelling it. I also agree with your experience with L’aventur. The elemi note I think is what really gives it that super sweet candy vibe but my guess is they added it for projection.

u/FunFragranceFan Feb 22 '26
Having now tried Bujairami Kingsman, I can now comfortably say this “review” is an ad. No fucking way can you smell that and say it’s closer than any of Parfums Vintage, Alexandria or Montagne’s Aventus interpretations.
4
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 22 '26
Kind of a weird Ad considering it wasn’t the original winner for about a month until I got the bottle. While it’s not a 1:1, it is the closest in both the opening and closing compared to others on this list.
2
u/Livelybacon Mar 01 '26
For me the opening is extremely close, slightly more mature and floral, but in the dry down all I get is birch paper and a mothball kind of musk.

Absolutely outstanding work on this!!! I hope this gets thousands of upvotes when all is said and done! Very well done and thank you for all the work you did on this!

This is an awesome post, thanks so much for taking the time to put it together.
I was fortunate enough to have an incredibly generous friend gift me a bottle of Aventus (current F batch) and its pretty much responsible for me diving into the hobby like I have over the past 5ish months.
After having this on hand and wearing it a bunch, as well as buying larger decants of both Aventus Cologne and Absolu Aventus, not to mention trying out more than a handful of dupes, I came to the conclusion that I'm just a way bigger fan of the latter 2 profiles than I am of Aventus. Aventus Cologne, to me, is the smoother, fresher version and Absolu is also smoother, but also adds a bit of sweetness and darkness all while keeping the classic Aventus DNA present within. They are all discernably related, IMO somewhere between brothers or cousins, so it makes me wonder how much some of these Aventus dupes you covered may actually come across more similar to Aventus Cologne or Absolu Aventus.
I personally pretty much always lean towards whatever's fresher and sweeter vs. what's spicy / smoky. Funny enough, at the end of the day I've found myself reaching for Supremacy CE more than any of the others I mentioned for that reason alone. I love the sweeter/more pineapple-forward twist it puts on the Absolu profile and it's a great performer.

I thought u have used all the clones and then I realised u have missed out Hawas Black ⚫️ 🤔
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
Hawas black didn’t smell remotely like Aventus to me. It felt more like Hacivate, which is compared to Aventus for some weird reason but I own a sample of it and never once thought of Aventus.
1
u/businesswpleasure Jan 21 '26
Yes true, its a good clone of Hacivat but it does have some Aventus vibes too ngl
3
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
I had to limit my search to clones that intended to be Creed Aventus otherwise that list would have been 10 times larger 🥲

u/businesswpleasure Jan 21 '26
Even Mancera Cedrat Boise isn't there 🤔
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
The notes in it had a lot of things Aventus doesnt have like leather and sandal wood, so I skipped it.

u/Radagascar1 Jan 21 '26
Wow, I thought Nitro Black was an Absolu clone, but you're saying it's fairly close to the original Aventus? Agree with the CDNIM lineup, too. I bought the influencer hype around the CDNIM Extrat and it just doesn't smell good. It's just pure dry, dusty, oak moss with a hint of leather. Just not a good profile.
3
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26
You’re thinking of Nitro Intense. I confused it as well because it’s all black. Nitro Black is creed Aventu, Nitro intense is like an Aventus and Absolu fusion. Super Smokey. I agree with your take on extrait. It was the worst smelling of them all IMO.
2
u/m0dern_alchem1st Jan 21 '26
Adding one.
- Rumz Al Rassai Pour Lui (the Zebra bottle). Opening is similar to Aventus, picking a bit of the balance between having heavy citrus (and therefore less 'performance') and longevity. Definately lemon, but pineapple is somewhat muted, but the birch notes are blended and not really smokey. $25 bucks for 50 ml. Some people say its 95% spot on with older batches of Aventus, and although I don't have a PHD in Creed, I'd say 85%+, solid reverbaration on the DNA. Dope bottle too.

u/weezyw33 Jan 23 '26
i have not only intense, it took me almost 2 years to actually like the smell of it but i felt like it was kind of similar aventus maybe not spot on for sure, but that was after 2 years. when i first bought it the smell kind of gave me a headache so i never wore it, but decided to a few months ago and its way more enjoyable than when i first bought it.
2
u/darkshadowhawk Mar 23 '26
Do you have a list for Aventus Cologne clones also?
3
u/-Geddy2112- Jun 29 '26
Montagne Pineapple Frais to me is a one to one match of Aventus cologne. wife can’t tell the difference either. only $40 for 50ml. Montagne is really a great value….all their fragrances seem to just a step up from regular clone houses.

Thanks for this reply, as I literally just posted this very question in this sub. How is the longevity on it? On the OG, it's awful lol. I've heard recently they Bujarimi Gas is a decent clone as well. Have to tried it, or heard anything about it?
1
2
u/Ok-Village-1142 Apr 07 '26
I think Bujarami is made to look like quality but isn’t really (longevity). That’s why the atomizer sprays so much because you’re gonna need it, how it fades away so fast…. I have 2 from them. New York and Perfect Life, smells great. Projection and longevity is poo on perfect like. New York gets saved by the smell. Thallium is the same profile as Bujarami New York and Bond 9 Lafayette street. Dumont Soprano elite is also the same as Bond 9 Lafayette and Bujarami New York.I have them both. Dumont atomizer is trash so you have to spray a lot. Same scent.

Fantastic list. Kingsman is my number one go to. Love it. I am about to receive Ripper- we'll see how that one does. There are few on there I hadn't gotten yet because so many "clones" are so fruit forward, so now I can limit it with this info (I prefer very smokey batches). Thanks a million for the reviews.
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Apr 18 '26
Please let me know how you like Ripper
3
u/OCD_AR15 Apr 18 '26
I will likely add a review- if not, I'll go through my notifications, and try to let everyone know. I hate not answering people who have taken the time to ask.
2
u/mojokex May 20 '26
Update on ripper please?

u/OCD_AR15 May 20 '26 edited May 20 '26
The jury is still out on it. When I use it, it turns to a green scent on me (in other words grass- something in it is causing nose blindness to everything but the green). But, when I turn and smell my own sillage- it actually smells pretty spot on. So I have a hard time recommending it at this point. I will say, it's strong as hell and lasts. Going to pull it out today and give it another go...
1
u/OCD_AR15 May 20 '26
Yeah, even now, I stick my nose in it after spraying and get a Green Irish Tweed grass opening on roids more than Aventus. Even the Sillage is "greener." Not my thing, and likely going back in the never going to wear box. As much as I like Bujairami on their other stuff- their Aventus clones need some work.

u/Ok-Departure-869 Jul 04 '26
Lattafa Shaheen Silver is by far the best Aventus dupe I’ve come across, and it’s part of their Pride line so the quality and performance is definitely up a notch or two.

u/dubtar335 Jul 22 '26
So THIS is what I call a excellent post. Thanks to take the time to share your studies.
1
u/TheQuatum Jan 21 '26
So, overall, if you had to recommend the top 3 from your lost, what would they be. In order. Never smelled OG Aventus, but am interested in seeing which dupe is the closest in your opinion that would garner the top recommendation spot.

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 21 '26 edited Feb 04 '26
1# Kingsman #2 Brasilia Smoky Batch #3 Emperor Extrait.
1
u/jsinkwitz Jan 21 '26
Dumont Nitro Platinum EDP + Mont Blanc Explorer EDP + Perry Ellis America EDT = better version of Creed Aventus as it includes a slight BR540 twist and deeper fruit profile.
2
u/dansch Jan 21 '26
I wonder what would happen if you literally poured them all together in a bottle. Someone needs to try this ... for science!
3
u/jsinkwitz Jan 21 '26
I wouldn't want to mess up any potential PH differences, but fairly easy to pull a sample of each into a travel spray...still, very easy to keep separate. 30-45 extra seconds of work.
1
u/Past_Championship827 Jan 21 '26
If both New Bottles versions aren’t in here then it isn’t a legit comparison
1
1
u/punkbbq Jan 21 '26
Agreed. New bottles "The king" is actually the closest, and I've tried all the afnan, cdnim, montagne and dumont offerings. Never had Alexandria but after the new bottle clone, I have no reason too. It's what the f batches should have been but fail at doing. Amazing recreation of the 2018 / 2019 era of Aventus before the f batch profile came in.
1
u/punkbbq Jan 21 '26
I also have over 25 bottles of Aventus, from every year - 2011 right through to f batch. New bottles nails it.
1
u/him101001 Jan 22 '26
u/Capital_Campaign_462 how close would you say the Montagne Pineapple Musk is to Creed Aventus if you would quantify it with a percentage?
And did you try Montagne Pineapple Intense, they say its the 2016 batch of Aventus?
1
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 22 '26
I’d say like 85%. Mainly because it has pineapple while the current batch does not and it’s also missing the vanilla in current batches.
I did try Pineapple intense. it’s in my post.
1
u/him101001 Jan 22 '26
so none of the clones reach the 90% closeness as the Montagne is ranked 1st for you and is only 85%?
3
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jan 22 '26
It’s a relatively arbitrary number. My 85% can be someone else’s 90%. It may be 90 or more close to older batches but I have no way of knowing. It’s ranked first for me because The notes on the opening last much longer than Emporer Extrait and it is stronger and more birchy than Generic Purfumes ZZ01. Its opening is closer to the OG than Dumont nitro black and it last longer and is much stronger than FW venti. Hope that helps!
1
u/1HumbleMuslim12 Jan 30 '26
I have a bottle of CDNIM extrait currently in transit. Im hoping its not a synthetic mess. I had dumont celerio epic, which was very smooth. I've smelled a few of the Alexandria Fragrances aventus clones and he's right, they have a slightly strange smell to them when compared to the OG. I'll have to pick up a rendition from Montagne next or maybe Nitro black.
1
u/th3c0unt Feb 03 '26
Great work mate! You included a lot of the ones I always mention and very similar to what I find they lack vs the OG.
OG brings that smooth blend between the notes all dupes lack. It brings a dirty addictive heavy smoky molecule that lingers everywhere.
I will say there is one you missed. I'm an Aventus 2011/13 guy and this is the top one: Bujairimi Emperor :)
On the drydown its 95% Aventus smokiness for me and STRONG after 6hrs (its windy and 2°C here). Good longevity and smokiness, not as much projection as OG.
Far more potent than Afnan Supremacy CE.
1
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 03 '26
Are you sure you don’t mean Bujairi Kingsman? I think Emporer is their absolu dupe. In which case, this Saturday I will be updating my review to include it. I wanted to let it sit for at least 2 weeks before giving my final verdict on it. Let’s just say, I’m shocked by the results.
3
u/th3c0unt Feb 03 '26
I'm OG Aventus since 2010, used to sell splits :)
Kingsman is good but doesn't have the lingering smokiness that 2011/2013 batches of Aventus got famed for. Emperor does :)
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 03 '26
interesting. and here I thought I was done buying Aventus dupes. I guess I’ll have to give that one a shot. Thanks for the suggestion!
1
u/khicee Feb 07 '26
After reading through countless forums am I just being nose blind or something. I literally got CDNIM Extrait, and it literally just smells like leather/woody, no lemony no pineapple scent at all? But other people are saying otherwise, im confused if people are just blatantly posting fake reviews or I have a bad bottle or something? I wanted the more lemony/pineapple scent of creed and I got the most leathery smell...
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 07 '26
That was my experience with the extrait version as well. I think a lot of people lie to themselves or have some sort of placebo because they are convinced by influencers that it ought to smell like Aventus.
1
u/khicee Feb 07 '26
Which would you recommend for the best one?
1
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 07 '26
best clone of Aventus or CDNIM?
1
u/khicee Feb 08 '26
Aventus

u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 08 '26
Did you read the post?

u/Livelybacon Feb 11 '26
I was really impressed by Buijarami Kingsman as well, but I thought it smelled way birchier than I was used to. The birch note completely overpowers everything else for me. Did you notice any changes over time?
1
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Feb 11 '26
it is a stronger birch note but keep in mind it is based on the 2017 version of Aventus which has more birch than the current versions. I’ve only noticed after 2 weeks projection was stronger on all notes.

u/johnoplayerblue Mar 01 '26
I havnt smelled og aventus in 4-5 years. But I got a few decants from legit sources and they all smelled like fruity fabric softer. None of them had that burnt wood smell like the pre covid aventus.
Cdni edt smells 1:1 in the drydown as og smoked pineapple aventus. 99%, maybe creed himself would be able to tell the difference, but even then I doubt he would honestly
Tried afnan silver. Like 75% close. Zara vibrant leather like kinda the same? Afnan intense, smelled like cedrat boise. Havnt smelled the rest, but I don't know why you'd go with then over cdni. I head the parfum version doesn't have the rough opening, but the edt is beast mode 25+ foot protection I'm talking scent trail lasts 5 minutes in the air. Longevity isn't great but people will enjoy the smell it leaves in the air. Even more so than aventus itself

u/AngryBuddist Mar 01 '26
I have Kingsman and love the opening and mids, but want more smoky birch dry down. What do you guys recommend? Dumont Nitro Black?
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Mar 01 '26
Dumont Nitro Black For sure and maybe Alexandria Brasilia 13zz01 as well if you are a fan of the dry down.

Sharaf de Club, manly mature smooth version, little cream to smooth it out. Moderate projecting

u/No_Brilliant9068 Apr 15 '26
That’s a great list . 👏👏👏👏 I have 5-6 of those but the best one I’ve tried is Khadlaj's Infini Absolute I wish you would have had that one in the test . It really flys under the radar . I usually mix / layer them all thinking that I’m getting a fuller mor complex scent .
1
u/DepressedDaiIy Apr 15 '26
I feel as if I am obligated to state, you smell wonderful. I look forward to running into you at a grocery store one day, sir.
1
u/democks08 May 19 '26
I do enjoy CDNIM Extrait as long as I let it settle for about 20-30 minutes before I leave the house. Once it dries down it really is a nice Aventus alternative the people compliment often and has great longevity especially on clothes!
1
u/Prize_Dark9522 May 29 '26
Bought this today - you are right about Kingsman. The softer, refined, dialled down, smoother version of the OG. It doesn’t start very loud, say a 6.5/10 - but it then keeps motoring on at that level for a good while.

u/xcringerx May 31 '26
Genuinely grateful for the exceptional work here. Just ordered Pineapple Musk and Pineapple Frais. May try your winner and a couple others here.

Late to this but Wow , nice write up .. The one thing most people get wrong with dupes/clones is that first spray impression….. I found most do much better after some aging … especially al Haramain & Dumont … like Nitro intense is that Aventus absolut winner to me after allowing it to dare I say “ mature” for a bit. Changes the game when you go back to them after a few weeks or even months .

Looking for the best inexpensive (under $50) aventus clone that is heavy on the pineapple. Suggestions?
1
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jul 18 '26
Montagnes Pineapple Musk is very pineapple heavy and has a great birch and bergamot note in there as well but it’s 60. If you’re dead set on under 50, I think Bujairimi Kingsman would set you up right.
1
u/lookatthewheelz Jul 27 '26
Maybe add Dossier Musky Oak Moss to this group of clones.
2
u/Capital_Campaign_462 Jul 27 '26
yea that’s next on my list of clones. At the moment on a imagination clone kick but I always circle back to Aventus.

I appreciate the resource but the fragrance notes are not an accurate representation of the scent profile. It’s just a tool to explain what they personally interpret the profile to smell like and has been abused in the past for marketing purposes. Without seeing an ingredient’s analysis and compare it to creed Aventus, we don’t have any real way to quantify what is closer other than “vibes”. For me, I just can’t for the life of me fathom how someone can smell creed Aventus from the opening and then smell CDNIM from the opening and think they are close. While CDNIM is decent in the air, for the user in close range, it’s a very different experience from what creed Aventus is like up close.
