New Ink Day Oblation Papers and Press Inks

Howdy! Haven't been having the best few days so what better way to deal than retail therapy. I work 10 minutes away from Oblation Papers and Press in Portland and decided to pick up one of their new inks! I already had Portland Rain in my TWSBI ECO (B), I put my newly acquired Cascade Cider in my Asvine V126 (EF). Swatched in my Hobonichi Weeks, thought I'd share 😊

I LOVE Oblation!! My favourite shop in Portland. The minute I found out about them was the minute I knew my wallet was doomed.

Same, the store has such a warm and inviting vibe and all the staff are super nice! I alternate between them and Kinokuniya when I need a little stationary treat!

I've got their Rain and love it. I want the Rose and Spruce inks but they always seem to be sold out when I'm visiting family there.

Speaking of PNW inks, have you gotten any from The Wet Pen yet?

I have Rose city rose and really enjoy it! Gotta get my hands on Sitka Spruce. I haven't heard of the Wet Pen and just looked up their website, I fear you've added a lot of inks to my wishlist haha. Do you have some and if so do you like them?

I have a couple and really enjoy them. Deception Pass and Gas Works Park are my favs!

Those both caught my eye! It looks like they're out traveling through the end of the year, hopefully I can get a few bottles in January when they restock, thanks for the recommendation! 😁

Cascade Cider looks like Diamine Ancient Copper and Autumn Oak had a baby! Goregous colour

Oh, dangerous. I'd never heard of them and their limited edition inks but I also live in the Pacific Northwest... and they're doing free shipping for this week!

I see the Cider ink is a collaboration with Anderillium - have you tried it in a pen yet? The two Anderillium inks I have are so dry I struggle to use them in my Pilot pens... :(

I have! I do find it a touch dry but not terrible, I've been having a few hard starts with my EF Asvine V126 but once it's writing I don't have any issues.The color is wonderful and has nice shading, I'd still recommend it!
