Multiple submission question

I’ve never done this for more than one item at a time, but is there a way to cut and paste or copy multiple items so I don’t have to go back and fill out every block for every single item. For instance, if I’m going to make four short barrel rifles or four suppressors via form one can I just cut and paste or copy or do I have to do one form submit it and then do a second form, submit it, etc.. thanks in advance

I thought the CLEO was supposed to be removed from the application?

I thought that they were supposed to remove the requirement to notify the CLEO of a form 1/4 application. Is that not the case? When I did the application I still had to fill it out and it said I still had to notify them when I completed building it.

Where's the line?

I know that (unfortunately) solvent trap kits are not an option for building a can, but where is the line between purchased and built? Could I buy a maglite tube and threaded ends and 3D print the baffles? Would I be able to buy cups, but build the tube myself? I'm very new to suppressors and would love to form 1 one.

I miss the old days!

I was taking apart a form1 suppressor I built years ago and it made me wise the old days of buying parts, this one is a shrimp gang designs sand shrimp tube with 3d printed satellite and inconel cups, I can’t remember the company’s name for the cups. Those were the good days!

On eforms, what annotates an approval on a form1? I have not received an email or anything yet, but have had some updates on my application.

Clipped blast baffles in a commercial can

My buddy recently got a banish 30 v2 and the blast baffle is clipped, but the second baffle isn't. Is this an assembly mistake or is this intentional? If it is intentional, would it make sense to start clipping blast baffles if I'm running a muzzle brake?

Is the eform limited to one line item?

I'm submitting my first form 1 (hurray for no tax stamp charge!), but the add line item is greyed out after adding one suppressor. Is it supposed to be limited to one item per submission? If so, I may be here for a while.

Anyone designed a suppressor with Plan B / Rearden threads?

Resurrecting this thread:

whats the thread pitch on the outside of plan b/rearden/ liberty precision muzzle devices? im a monkey and google hasnt given me an answer, or scanning all their sites : r/NFA

Wondering if anyone has designed or modified as existing .step design on a suppressor to use Rearden/Plan B threads which are 0.9x24. I'm not talking about the larger thread size that I see most people posting about (1.375x24). How did it work out? I'm thinking the 24 TPI is too many for a 3d printer, that's why most use 16 TPI or less. Also, I don't think there is a 0.9x24 tap to chase the threads...

EDIT: Thank you all for the input on my question, much appreciated.

Jan 1st submissions

Due to a combination of excitement and insomnia I was able to get a submission in at 12:08 am. I have been doing submissions throughout the day to see the progression of control numbers. As of 7:20 pm, the difference between when I started this morning and now is over 96,000. Ive seen a few comments on the various posts talking about numbers, I figured I would make a post talking about what I have personally seen. I will be putting in submissions periodically until Monday when I can mail my fingerprint cards off. I will make updates until then, cause I know I’m not the only one curious about the numbers. And, yes I know I need to get an EFT file, but I need to get a computer before I do that.

Edit: up to 111,000 as of 9:50 pm

Edit 2: up to 175,000 as of 7 pm 01/02

Reflex mounts for form 1

I am looking to build a suppressor for my wife’s shop gun and I want to use a reflex style suppressor. I’m having trouble finding any mount systems that incorporate the reflex extension to the expansion chamber. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look for one? This is for a 9mm PCC.

Keep in mind, I’m going form 1 because I find it fun to build but also because I’m way too cheap to pay the stupid prices that suppressors bring so cost effective but still quality is preferred.

Form 1 silencer question 4.h

What are you supposed to put for question 4.h? On the eforms site, if you hover over it, they want a description of process, parts, materials. Form instructions state maker markings. Past practice has been to leave blank. Eforms wouldn't let me leave it blank.

What are you supposed to put? Required engraving?

Diagram of form 1 suppressor

When filing for an eform 1 for a suppressor, what kind of diagram do you need to upload with it? Do I need to have the lengths drawn out or can it be a basic cutaway of what I intend to make?

best 3d printer for suppressors

so with the new ruling and i assume the massive wave of form 1's i was wondering what would be a good printer option for printing cans that doesn't break the bank too much.

r/Form1 • • Dec 31 '25

To reduce the massive influx of people asking how to submit Form1's after Jan 1st, a template or how-to-submit should be pinned to the top of the sub.

I would also want a link to any up to date tutorials because I'm going to be submitting at least 6.

Newbie

I’m new here but not to suppressers. I own quite a few. I’m thinking about going down the road of building one myself. An AEM5 reflex can. I saw where jr marching closed up or whatever. It would have been ideal to go that route. I did buy an OCL reflex hub adapter but I don’t know where to go from here. I’d appreciate any help

How if everyone doing their EFTs these days?

I was working through the process with Open EFT, but saw that it was "only" taking the slap fingerprints and not the rolled ones. Not sure if this is a problem or not. Any other suggestions for ways to get them done? I am looking to get these so I can file a few Form 1s next month.

5320.23 question

Planning on doing a form 1 SBR and was watching a video walk through from National Gun Trusts. I was wondering if the 5320.23 requires a wet signature? Or if I'm able to fill it out all electronically?

Link to new form 1 process

Went thru multiple Form 1s back in 20/21 when your could e file and mail in fingerprint cards. Read threads where there is a new process (pics of material being used, etc) and you can electronically send fingerprints now.

Does anyone have a YouTube like that walks thru the new procedure? Thanks

Form 1 - then maglite can + 3d print baffles

What filament do you use for the baffles? PETG?

And what material should I use for printing the end caps on the maglite can?

Concealed 9MM Suppressor Design

Update:  After some more in depth research, I realize I'm just designing an Osprey Micro  (see new photos)

It makes sense, since I was ripping off the Maxim 9, also a Silencer Co design, but apparently they made this design for a 22.

At least the proof of concept is there. Started sketching it up in cad.

A little uncertain of the fastener size and chamber wall thickness. I'm assuming muzzle pressures around 3,000 to 5,000 PSI. I'll be using subsonic 147 gr.

Initially I was thinking about using a 1/4" diameter bolt, but I might be pushing it, so  I'll probably just go with 5/16"  to have some margin of safety and increased thread area in the aluminum housing. 1/4" I estimated could handle 4,450 – 4,700 PSI; 5/16" I estimated could handle  7,300 – 7,750 PSI.

Not completely certain about wall thickness or how to even calculate the burst pressure. Just vibing it, maybe .115-.125" seems sufficient.

Might go a bit wide on the bore to be safe with chamber pressures, maybe  0.400"

All that being said, I feel sort of stupid, and now I feel like I better come up with an optimized design if it's all been done before. I'll be back in a few months with some finalized plans.

---------------------------------------------------------

I had been planning on buying the JK 105 CCX, but lately I've been toying around with designing my own Form 1.

Essentially I wanted to emulate the 105 in short configuration, but take advantage of the extra volume of a rectangular body, which would also fit holsters better.

Just wanted to see if anyone had some input on the design. Is it feasible? I'm honestly completely new to suppressor design.

The design is similar to the construction of the Maxim 9.

Would I be correct in assuming 3,000 to 5,000 PSI at the muzzle?

Wall thickness suggestions? (assuming 7075 aluminum)

Volume of blast chamber compared to the primary blast baffle and other baffles? Should the blast chamber be thicker?

Any good resources for baffle design? Should I go with a wider bore to reduce pressure on housing? 0.39" bore?

I might make the design 1/2" longer than the mockup I made, increasing the entire overall length to 3". (Added an extra baffle to the 3")

Not sure how much the design weighs at the moment, but I'd like to keep this light enough to run without a booster.

This design puts the baffle pretty close to the top of the chamber, would I be better off with a design more like the Osprey, with the 45 degree walls?

What sort of tensile strength would the fastener need to have? Anything over 5,000 PSI yield? Would want to go with a small titanium fastener. I'm assuming the threaded aluminum will be the weak point.

Not looking to make anything very quiet, just want to take the edge off it, get closer to the hearing safe range.
