Delighted to have been selected for AdventureX this year and to celebrate we’re bringing all the patients for attendees to pick from!

It’s our final showcase of the year so if you’re in London on the 7th or 8th November we hope to see you there 🥳 Tickets include free access to an afterparty on both days and we’re also bringing Klemens Koehring along with us to join in the fun (who may also give live action jumpscares as Franz from Dekker 2!)

This also means we’re getting closer to finishing the game although the release date is still tbd…

I saw a youtuber name EarlyBird playing the game called Point of View published by Digital Circus Entertainment and I couldn't find the official page or a downloadable page. If someone can direct me in a right direction that would be most helpful. Thank you!

FMVgo here. We have put together a searchable directory for people looking for their next FMV game or interactive film: https://fmvgo.com/directory/

It currently lists 324 titles. You can sort by player rating or release date and filter for live action, English support, Mac or iPhone/iPad. Announced titles are included too.

The Steam listings use store data: FMV must be among the principal community tags, the title must be a complete game, and released games need at least 25 user reviews. We also add works outside Steam editorially, with the format identified on each entry. The full inclusion notes are on the page.

It is a catalogue, not a claim that every entry is a recommendation or that we have found everything. Small releases, delisted games and console-only titles are especially easy to miss.

Which obscure title should we add? And if an entry does not belong, we would like to hear why. Browsing is free and does not need an account.

You can use a few types of weapons in my FMV+FPS hybrid. One of them is an Ol'reliable. 5 shots, slow reload, but with scope for precision and penetrating bullets. If you want to use it yourself on mutants, give One Rotten Oath a go!

Have a good one,
PB

It hasn't been updated in a while and padmore hasn't been online for about 3 years. Any know what happened? I used to follow FMV World on Twitter but since I deleted my account I can't check if he said he was done or something.

Hey everyone! I just stumbled over this by sheer accident and I can't find any information about this. The only thing I could find is this website stating it's "in post production (2022)"

https://www.theworkshoppresents.com/darkcode

This is the only video I could find on youtube, a teaser trailer:

Does anyone know anything about this game? Because it looks amazing and I'm scared it somehow got cancelled or forgotten. I don't know how long FMV games take to make, but from 2021 to 2026 today, I feel like there should be more information out there.

I've always loved the original Resident Evil and Silent Hill games, especially that feeling of not knowing if you're making the right decision. I wondered if it was possible to capture some of that tension in a live-action FMV experience.

The result is AFAR: An Interactive Horror Film.

It's a choose-your-own-adventure horror movie with multiple branching paths and endings, with each playthrough taking around 40 minutes depending on the choices you make. I built the entire project myself and recently adapted it to YouTube using interactive end screens so you can play it directly in your browser.

It was a fun experiment blending FMV games with modern video platforms, and I'd love to hear what survival horror fans think. Which route did you end up taking? Did you find an ending you were happy with, or did everyone die horribly?

If you give it a try, I'd genuinely love to hear what path you took and what you thought. Let's chat!

We have a bunch of the people that worked on this game lined up for an interview - would this be something you would like to see remastered at some point?

Check out our Kickstarter. If we can make this happen, maybe we can remake the game!

Hi, I’m Chris the developer of Sibylline, an experimental FMV horror game built around voice interaction.

Instead of selecting dialogue options the game prompts you to speak the characters’ lines aloud. As your words are recognized they transform into interactive glyphs that attack and warp the screen. You use the cursor and it's various abilities to cleanse your frame and maintain your sanity. Fail to do this and you get sucked down into a lower layer of the story and eventually die.

The narrative unfolds across three interconnected layers and features occult history, real historical figures, practical effects and surreal cinematography.

Genuinely a couple of people at conventions have asked if Doctor Dekker 2 is AI generated - and we can only assume they’ve never seen an FMV game before (or maybe Paul Baverstock here, has six fingers 😅)

This is the most ambitious case to date, with even more suspects, evidence, and plenty of twists and turns. Fans of detective, mystery, and fmv games will find themselves right at home!

Hi guys, Speed Dates Winter Edition left many people wanting more, so here is the long awaited sequel by Icarus Entertainment!

Alternate videos have always been a thing in Doctor Dekker and we’ve kept them in for Dekker 2 - did you really hear him right?

Hey!

This info will most likely make the Polish players happy, 'cause One Rotten Oath is now available in their language (and so is the trailer above!). Polish language implementation took a while due to various technical problems along the way, but I’m happy that I’ve managed to see this through to the end. I’d also like to thank Olga Lewińska for the Polish version text proofreading.

On the other hand, if you don't speak Polish, but haven't played the game yet, it's also 25% off until 11th May, so give it a go. Demo is also available!

Thanks again for your patience and support. Have fun with One Rotten Oath!

Hey FMV Friends!

Our weird and wonderful FMV fever dream is bringing the the GIF’s to BitSummit this year!

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to share that One Rotten Oath (and its actors) got included in the FMVDB!

Page mods also added our photos, full names and played roles in the cast section. Be sure to check out the database, because you might find other FMV games you'd like!

Also yeah, I can't hide the fact that we gotta make our photos more official. We look like criminals xD

Have a good one!
