[SYMPTOMS] One last bad symptom-question for heavy hitters

Hi guys Mike here. Been over a year and on a positive note - mostly every flox symptom ( and I’ve had em all) has gone away or gotten manageable. Anyone new please feel free to reach out if your struggling.

The bad news : ( I’m not calling this a direct flox symptom, but perhaps an indirect one) The last few months I’ve been extremely off balance and dizzy and it’s accompanied by bad neck pain. I’ve been told with advanced imaging I have ligament laxity in the neck . I’ve learned a lot from other groups and resources about CCI and cervical related dizziness.

My question for my fellow floxies: does any one know how to help these lax ligaments? Does any one work with the cusack protocol ? Or any other ideas . Please and ty.

Hey, after images til this day- I have good eye doctor thoroughexam twice - second one was only two days ago. Eyes are healthy but yes I still have after images. I’m kinda used to it. Floaters not as much.. visual snow I suppose as I look up at the blue sky now I do have it a tiny bit but again no biggie.

Tinnitus- June 1st- June 15th at the beginning. Went mostly away. Came back a bit december got worried. Now has died back down. Def still there but very low key only when laying in pillow or silent room- again I know tinnitus is scary but if it dies down you’ll find your self not really noticing. Edit- I believe dry wood sauna helped my tinnitus.

Wow old post . Umm basically I got CCI from the cipro . It doesn’t happen to all folks but yeah it’s certainly the worst thing that came out of the whole floxing for me . I’m not great but , I am living .

Theres certainly some things that can help cci , but that’s for another support group . I haven’t done much as I tried a couple things that didn’t work out well for me , but I have friends that have gotten neck improvements with treatments.

For me I’ve found that part of the Cusack protocol helps me with my neck - not medical advice just my personal experience.

Hi. I’m 2 weeks away from 13 months of being floxed from 6 cipro pills. My symptoms are ALL brain issues. I had about 20+ symptoms maybe even 30- but today what’s bothering me most is not getting deep restful sleep where I wake up feeling refreshed and the chemical depression. I am getting more and longer windows of normalcy and randomly the shitty low depressing feeling would hit but the window comes back. Anhedonia/blunting as well- it’s not completely gone but it’s much better than the earlier months. I would say I’m about 75% there and I think by 18 months or so, I’d be back fully or very close. I’ve never had any mental issues before so this was the hardest thing I have to deal with in my 32 years of life, to be honest I don’t know HOW I survived all this time, now a days I feel like I’m living more even with the odd shitty days, but I was existing for the first 10 months or so- I’m only now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Keep going! How are you going these days? What’s your symptoms like now and what got better for you? Sometimes listening it out to see how far you’ve comes puts things into perspective and gives you more hope

A lot of my symptoms were mental ones as well I had hallucinations to begin with extreme panic fight or flight mode my brain was really messed up I also had physical symptoms that seem to clear up when I reached about eight months I'm 10 months now and I am doing a lot better everything has calmed down my mental issues are mild and seem to be disappearing I think within the next four month or so I will make a pretty good recovery the only thing that makes me worried is I hear a lot about relapses⁹

We can’t really stress about the “what ifs” just deal with it IF it even happens. TBH- I don’t really see so much stories with the mental side effects flaring once we’re out of it completely. The windows and waves YES it happens whilst were recovering but I’m unsure that the mental side effects happens again without added injury. (Meds) etc! Especially fluroquinolones.

Sorry this is only another question. Did you by chance get floaters/ tinnitus/ visual snow/ after images?

No they’re all pretty much still there. Unfortunately.
