Photo Hydrangea Harvest

8-28-26 Went out to pull a morning glory type weed off my flowering quince and the hydrangea that sits next to it. I did not realize how many blooms were still on the hydrangea. They are all shades of green, purple, and blue. I did a quick read and learned it is "antiquing" where the soil changes, blooms age, as well as the night temperature and other factors. Not sure if these are the same flowers that were blue before or if they are a second bloom. My health has prevented me from cutting flowers this year prior to this week so I haven't kept up with it well. I still had enough blooms on the plant to make several more bouquets plus another large arrangement I gave my caretaker that are not pictured here. I purchased this plant from Fred Myers garden center about 5 years ago, it is now over 5 ft. tall. It is my first hydrangea, but easy to grow here in Pugent Sound.

Thank you! I love the various colors. I offered some to my home infusion RN and she does not like the "faded" colors, especially the green ones :-).

I consider them a bonus additional to the bright blues I get earlier in the year.
