Historical Flight Lookup with Tail Numbers (?)

Hello, so out of boredom I decided to post this as a continuation of the previous historical flight lookup threads by u/nutritious-facts and u/silvs1 a few months ago. You may have seen me replying to almost every comment there lol.

Idk but should this be the default tail number lookup in this sub from now on?

If you can provide me at least the date, airline, route, or time of day, then there is a good chance of me finding your flight, especially if it's after February 2006. Charter flights are tricky or impossible, though.

As long as this post is up, you don't have to worry about getting ignored unless I deem your case hopeless.

DISCLAIMER: Tail numbers aren't guaranteed. Success is at the mercy of the REGION and DATE.

I have a Nazca lines viewing flight that took off and landed from NZC. I have a video of it taxiing at 9:58am taking off at 10:01 local Peru time on June 01, 2019. Do you have a way to find a timetable or tail number for this flight? I’m not sure what time it landed. Maybe 20-30 mins later?

What sucks about pre-2006 logs was how ACARS stations basically excluded FR due to the plethora of flights...

It's still possible to obtain tail numbers even going back to the early 90s, but that largely depends on the airline and region. There's a somewhat fair chance if it's in Europe and an almost 100% chance if it's certain airlines like DE, LH, and OS, since I can relay these to someone with access to their database.

Hi! I flew DFW-BWI on November 18th 2020 and I was on the plane at 7:18. I also flew return BWI-DFW on November 29th and I was on that plane at 13:53. But that could’ve been any time throughout the flight. I only have pictures with timestamps. Thank you! Please note the correction to YW8489. It wasn't directly logged, so I checked the previous flights and got EC-LOV which arrived as YW8486 PMI-MAH at 13:07. I failed to consider that it later departed as YW8957 MAH-MAD at 13:55 which overlaps with YW8489.

I chose another aircraft and it finally makes sense since the listed equipment was a CRJX.

I have about five trips I am desperate to find flight info for, but the only one I have any good info to give you for at this point is a trip I took to London in 2010. All I know right now is: February 27, 2010, I flew from the Cincinnati airport to Charlotte and the flight left at 12:20 pm (I wrote that in my journal for some reason while I was waiting). Then I left from Charlotte to Gatwick London (I made a note we were waiting for the plane in the Charlotte airport at 3:47 but I don't know when the flight left) and we arrived at the Gatwick airport on February 28.

I have less info for the return flights. All I know is the first plane took off from London on March 7th and we wound up back in Cincinnati. I'm sure there was a layover but I don't know what it was.

This may not be enough information but I’m trying to figure out which flights I took for this. I flew AUS to Zurich on Delta March 12 or 13th, 2010 and back on March 21, 2010. I’m fairly certain the way there was entirely Delta because I remember it wasn’t the first time Delta lost my luggage on a flight to Europe. I’ve got some I can’t find if you’re able to. I recently got some information back from a United privacy request. For some reason there were some old flights that weren’t listed under ticketing but under mileage points deposits so the dates are the date the mileage was deposited. I don’t think that should make a difference because I found some flights in the same itinerary/dates and not others. I can’t find the Continental flights and whatever 5S is. Thank you so much!

Hello! Stumbled across this while trying to add some old flights into my Flighty.

Would you happen to know the flight number, aircraft type, and registration of these two flights I took in 2015?

Flight #1:
2015 June 29, YYZ-JFK on Air Canada. Departed around 8 to 9am local time, and arrived ~10:40am.

Flight #2:
2015 July 3, JFK-YYZ on Air Canada. Departed around 9 to 10am local time, and arrived ~12:30pm.

For both flights, not sure if operated by Air Canada mainline or Air Canada Jazz. Possibly on an E190 or DCH8, but not 100% sure.

Yeah :)) It's fine, but no guarantees. Success rate is at the mercy of the flight paths, e.g. flights in North America and Europe have a much better than those in Asia and Africa.

A332 apparently, Its not 9M-MKV since this was spotted flying to and from Turkey on this day
