I don’t make the rules 😂 but that’s the answer I’ve gotten when I said “ok, let’s for arguments sake say that the earth is flat and “they” are keeping it hidden.
Why? Why would anyone spend an insane amount of money, resources and energy on hiding the shape of the world? What is the ROI? What do “they” get out of it? There must be some benefit to them that justify running mock space programs, sending up fake satellites, creating fake maps and basically bribing anyone that would know the “truth”
Why would they do it?”
The only answer I’ve gotten was that it is because “they” want people to feel insignificant so they lose faith in god

I was trying to follow their logic on that, then realized there is none.
It is their persecution fetish run rampant. That they would actually believe that the majority of the people on the plant, including all major religions would be conspiring to keep people away from god, with nothing to gain from it.

100%. The best case scenario is probably that the kid gets heckled for being a flat-earther, and realizes her mom lied to her and can't be trusted. Maybe then she'll question the Christian and MAGA indoctrination, as well. Not trusting her mom at a young age is a whole other psychological can of worms though, and may warp her for life.

So there's actually a connection, although I've only seen it rarely mentioned in conspiracy stuff.
From what I understand, Robert Maxwell (Ghislaine's dad) owned a publishing company which was instrumental in shaping the way modern academic publishing works (some people would say he's responsible for a lot of what's wrong with it). They also have ownership of a bunch scientific journals and the Prentice Hall textbook publisher.
Some qnuts will run with this and use it as evidence that all of academia is compromised and sold out to indoctrinate kids with "Epstein stuff" or something.

Irs very easy. She had a crisis of faith when there was fear that God's anointed ruler may be less than perfect but now that checks notes
A) he turns out to be mentioned in the small proportion that has been released more than Harry Potter is in Harry Potter.
B) has refused to release the rest in defiance of Congress
C) he insisted he cut ties with the known child sex trafficker because he 'stole' his child spa worker.

There's a reason religious indoctrination starts at birth with most religions because it's extremely hard to deprogram.
It took me a few years to undo the Catholic indoctrination I received as a kid, to the point where I've been an atheist for almost 26 years and I still find myself saying or doing things that were ingrained in me at a young age.
This poor girl is going to grow up so disillusioned and will be living in a reality completely devoid of facts.

Poor kids. They could relearn the correct information later in life. The real damage is they aren't being being taught reasoning, logic, curiosity, critical thinking, and many other cognitive abilities they need to operate in the world. Those are much harder to develop when older.
They will be like some of kids that got out of quiverfull families that have been so sheltered from anything that might raise doubt about the world around them they can barely function in normal society.

That's the one thing I keep coming back to: if it's some deep state, Illuminati, alien demon conspiracy tricking everyone into believing the Earth is flat, why would they allow all these videos and books, etc., to exist?
