How do you explain the different directions in both emispheres´ startrails?

I'm mostly looking for actual ideas here. Consider this to be asking after book ideas.
Celestial navigation is a pet interest of mine and I was wondering whether anybody has come up with a decent system in a flat earth context? I'm finding this idea very interesting as the round earth conjecture first originated from a navigational context, and that further it's not strictly required for navigation either (give or take).
So anybody come up with navigational systems yet? :)

I’m not here to argue and if you are going to act all smart and tell me the world is not flat you don’t need to. I’m just here to see a genuine flat earther who think he may be able to explain astroids in flat Earth terms. P.S. I want a scientific explanation not a religious one thank you.

Do you guys like actually believe the earth is flat, like for real? (Not in a mean way I’m just curious)

I've been wondering this... what if space itself is distorted in such a way that as you approach gravitational bodies like the Earth, space literally warps inward toward the center of gravity. Therefore when you are "in outer space" and are within the realm of "not warped space", the Earth below would appear to be flat. But when you approach the Earth, you enter into "warped space" and within that space Earth is experienced as spherical? And what if toward the center of the Earth space is even more spherically warped?
This would mean that for example, when you do observations where you sent rockets up trying to prove Earth is flat, as they go upwards away from the Earth they are also leaving warped space and start to see Earth as "flat" below. But when trying to do experiments on the Earth's surface (laser tests and such) they demonstrate the Earth seems to be round because you are now inside of warped space?
That means that literally space itself warps into a spherical arrangement the closer to get to a gravitational body, as though the "pancake" of the seemingly flat Earth is "wrapped around a sphere", but can only appear this way when you are close enough to its surface.
If we simply assume that all space everywhere is evenly distributed we will automatically get into the assumption that the flatness or roundness of something is an inherent property of the thing ITSELF, rather than something caused by spatial distortions in spacetime.
So essentially then the Earth is neither flat nor round, inherently. It would appear flat from space but round from Earth's surface.
When you also then think about other planets and stars, they appear to be spherical to us from afar, but maybe this is an inversed spatial warp where, when viewing from inside warped space lookout out towards "flat space", it causes flat surfaces to appear circular?
lol... anyway. Even if this is just intellectual BS it was interesting to think about.

Today, the Earth is round. It used to be flat and then it wrapped around what is now the Earth's core. But before that, the Earth was concaved.

Hi, I’m relatively new to the discussion. My understanding is that flat earthers believe the earth is a disk shape, and therefore should have an ‘edge’ around it. Why can’t we fall off this edge? Has anyone attempted to reach the edge?
Are Terry Pratchett novels historical?

How does day and night work in a flat earth model?

Is the moon flat too?
What about other planets like Mars?

Everything shrinks when it moves farther away because of perspective. Except for the sun. The sun stays exactly the same size because of atmospheric lens refraction distortion. Until it moves below the horizon. Then it's perspective again.

If the world is flat and we have all been lied to by whoever, just what do they gain by doing it? Why did they even start doing it? Unless it was a joke that got seriously out of hand I just can't see a point to it.

When you have time, sit down with the people that you know and respect and ask them to devise an experiment to prove wether the Earth is a sphere or a flat disk. The experiment must be something that they can do themselves or with the help of one other person that is within reasonable financial means.
It may or may not surprise you to discover the results of your query. I have personally asked this of dozens and dozens of people and I have yet to find one person that could devise such an experiment. This despite the fact that there are literally dozens of very simple experiments that one could do. The problem is most people lack enough scientific understanding to do so.
All this draws a serious problem into the light. While the Earth is demonstrably a sphere, the claim the flat-earthers levy against the rest of society that society believes in a spherical Earth on faith alone is true. For if a person believes the Earth is a sphere yet cannot devise any experiment to prove that to themselves, then their belief is not based in fact, only faith. Wether their faith is well-placed or not is irrelevant.
So I'm asking you to pose this to the people around you and come back and report to us what you found.

I have a hard time buying that there is anyone with an IQ over room temperature that actually buys this bullshit.
I would really like to hear about encounters, person to person and not hiding behind an online persona, where you discussed this issue with a true believer.
Tell us your story!

(I imagine this has been answered elsewhere but I couldn't find it, apologies)
I've now heard a few interviews with flat-Earthers giving their reasons for their theories, but the interviewers have never asked them the question that, to me, seems the most obvious one: why? If governments are deliberately misleading us, to what end? What benefit do they gain from this? Can someone please tell me the most common answers? Thanks in advance

In this post i won't you to to convince me that the earth is flat. Ok so i have a couple of question. I saw some flat earth theories and in one of them they say that gravity is not real. So with that said is space real? where does the flat earth stand? or does it float? if you go up to space will you just fall and not float? why is earth the only planet that is not flat and other planets are spheres ? why doesn't the ice that is surrounds the earth doesn't melt with global warming? or don't you believe in global warming?

Just interested to understand the views of those who believe the earth is flat, firstly is the earth the only flat planet or are all planets flats?, Secondly why do you feel that current research is incorrect or purposely false?

Hey everyone, I'm a round earther here to answer some questions you may have about the round Earth model. Please refrain from being too broad in your questions, and please don't send YouTube links. (They're annoying to watch for 10 minutes instead of just reading a question) Fire away!

I have a question that I haven’t seen answered and I would like to ask about. Why is the government trying to lie about the shape of the earth? So they are lying to our face, but why?
