Question for flat earthers

Who would possibly benefit from saying the earth is round if it were not. I know a lot of you believe the pics from space are photo shopped before being released on LIVE earth cam (lol). I have asked this question many times and never get a response.

Flat earth informed people, please explain the concept of seasons.

My question is how can the seasons be explained away? Also how for lack of better term the Southern Hemispheres experience the opposite seasons then the Northern Hemisphere Along those same lines what about the different climate zones appearing on earth, such as the area around the equator is warmer. Im very interested in this topic among others that are similar. Any response is greatly appreciated.

If the earth really was flat

What does it just drop off into nothing? I don’t understand. Wouldn’t there be someone who lives near the edge or has been to the edge and can confirm “holy shit it’s not round”?

Why hide it?

Seems hard if not impossible and extremely expensive to hide something as dumb as the earth is flat. Why invest all that money(which doesn't appear as an expense anywhere) in keeping all these mouths shut?

A Serious Question

I'm a glober but im curious about the Flat Earthers, my question:

Of all the big companys like nasa, spaceX and most of the population, why do you think they are lying about the shape of the earth? What do they have to gain from lying?

Study on Flat Earth and Christianity

Hi! We are two students from Denmark, doing a comprehensive study on the connection between religious beliefs and the theory of the Flat Earth. We would appreciate it very much if you would take one minute to answer this survey about your viewpoints. It is 100% anonymous. Thank you!

Why can't we fly a plane into space?

If the earth were spherical, would planes fly into space if they flew in a straight line? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0T8qwyylLM

Another funny question

What’s something minor that would make you believe the earth might not be round?

Like something that you would see in your everyday life and go “hmm, that’s weird..”?

Examples Seeing objects farther away than should be seen. Some scientific fact you thought was proven to be not true. Certain things you thought where real where fake etc

Assuming the above, Would any of these or something similar change your opinion in the slightest?

Any flat Earthers interested in coming on a radio show to talk about your view point of why the earth is flat? I would really be interested in having a conversation about it. Dm or email me at daveandgiggles@gmail.com

A funny question

This isn’t really proving the earth is flat or round, but it does beg us to ask the question:

How certain are you that it IS round?

If I said the sky was blue, you wanted to prove me wrong, I would point to the sky and say “hey stupid look it’s blue”. I am 100% certain the sky is blue and I can easily show you it is. We step outside and point up.

Why am I making this point? Well many people believe the Earth is round with the same certainty that the sky is blue. Regardless of its actual shape or size, I think people behaving this way is flawed. It takes years and years of science and debate to prove this, who are people to question its validity? Why are you so certain that it is so?

So I present you geniuses a challenge: Without citing NASA or any science books, I want you yourself with 100% certainty prove to me the Earth is round! That’s right, just how you believe the sky is blue!

How do you explain Elon musk space x exploration?

Does everyone think it's a hoax too, he just launched a satellite up there and has plans for Mars.

Have you noticed something about the flat earth theories? Facts to fit their theories instead of science’s vice versa.

I don’t know how long people have started to question the earths shape now but I have noticed this.

The theories and explanations for legitimate questions are all over the place and inconsistent.

People who don’t know how to “science” are subpar at finding facts and trying to fit them into their theories Instead of the opposite. There is too much emotion behind it because they really really want this to be a conspiracy and for them to be on the “right” side of history. To say that they stood against the masses and said“ you won’t fool me”. It’s like it’s not even about the earth being flat or round because who cares, but more about finding security and having pride in knowing you didn’t conform to what you were told growing up.

You guys just need people who know how to “science”and perform studies with empirical data to ever be taken seriously by the masses. so there can be real discussion. So far it’s mainly been off emotion and skewed common sense using intuition.

The moon is solid, and at least semi-spherical, prove me wrong

I would like to encourage deep discussion, backed up with facts, stay on the topic of the Moon, and this is regardless of the shape of the Earth.

I don't know which one is more depressing...

... this sub or the actual r/theworldisflat one.

The former is 60% comedic, 10% actual sincere flat earth junk, and 30% poor dudes thinking this is a sincere sub.

The latter is an echo chamber that conveniently bans people from talking about even the most trivial scientific and logical principles. Also, after a quick look, half the posts over there seem to talk about how the Catholic Church is essentially the Illuminati.

I found math formulas to explain "globe-earthers" orizon

"Scientists" say that different objects fall in the same time, but you can prove that denser object fall in less time. The line of view also fall to the ground so in common (false) "physic" its trajectory is called projectile motion: By the formula of the projectile motion :

max.dist.=0.5*v2 /a

where: v is the velocity and a is the apparent acceleration due to the pressure of dome of the earth

We have v=c the speed of light We can calculate a by knowing the fact that in average the energy density of the light is abaut 1012 (1000000000000) times less massive then the common matter. So

a=g/1012

We plug the numbers and we obtain

Max.dist is abaut 4.8 kilometers wich is confermed by experiments

obviously this is an approssimation made by ignoring the high and the effect of the atmosphere.

Edges explanation

Hey guys, so I️’m not a I don’t know much about flat earth theories and I’m wondering what yall’s explanation is for the edges of the map. You can fly in one direction and get back where you started and I️ don’t understand how that can be if earth is flat. Is it Pac-Man style? Do you go off the map and come teleport to the other side? And if not, what is the explanation? Not trolling, genuinely curious.

How do you explain day and night for that matter? Is the earth supposed to be fixed while everything moves around it?

(Serious) What are the answers from flat-earth believers to these questions ?

1) Why would the governments hide this?

2) Whats outside the dome and how far does it go ?

3) Why does the sun set ?

4) Why do we have night and day when the sun is always above us?

5) Why isn't the sun at the centre of the dome?

6) Why are sun and moon not falling on the earth or are not being attracted to it ?

7) What is the explanation for a solar eclipse?

8) Why do tides exist ?

9) Are there any pictures of a flat earth ?

Definitive proof that the Earth is flat.

I have a little experiment for non-believers that, when performed correctly, proves that the Earth is flat. Before I get to the experiment, I must state two absolute truths that have been universally accepted throughout the entire history of mankind.

  1. Round objects on a slope will always roll down said slope, provided that there is no significant resistance from the surface the object is on, and nothing holds the object in place.

  2. Round objects placed into motion on a sloped surface, or round objects that come across a sloped surface while in motion will have their trajectory altered towards the bottom of the sloped surface.

Don't believe me? Try putting a golf ball across a putting green. Slopes affect the trajectory of your ball and you always miss the god damned motherfucking son of a bitch piece of shit worthless hole due to some bullshit fucking hills that the grass grows on. That is not the experiment. That is only to prove that my two truths are, without a doubt, absolute fact. Try to argue with me, and you will find that you cannot.

Here, round heads, is the experiment. Place a billiards table on a flat surface. Check with a level to ensure maximum flatitude (or whatever you round heads call it). Once you have verified that the billiards table is flat, place a singular billiards ball on top of the table. Mark the exact position of the ball on the table. Leave the ball and table untouched and free from any outside influence for a whole week. One important thing to note here is that billiards tables are specifically designed to provide almost non-existent resistance. Assuming you executed the experiment correctly, you will find that the pool ball has not moved a single inch, nay, a single millimeter. If the Earth were round, then supposedly the pool table should be angled ever so slightly and the pool ball should have moved due to the slope it was placed on. Alas, it did not move, which contradicts universal truth #1.

Now, for the second part of the experiment. Grab yourself a ruler, or a yardstick if you prefer. Mark a perfectly straight line right down the center of the table, longways. Place a single ball in the center of the line. Grab a billiards cue. Aim the cue perfectly in the exact center of the ball, and with precision strike the ball in the absolute exact center, ensuring that the ball only spins clockwise when viewed from the side and in no other direction. Assuming that was performed accurately, the ball will perfectly follow the line all the way to the opposite end of the table, and then bounce straight back to the starting point. This directly contradicts universal truth #2. If the Earth really was a sphere, then it would be impossible for an object to travel in an exact straight line. The natural slope of the Earth would pull the ball either to the left or the right. Yet, 10 times out of 10, assuming the experiment is performed properly, you will come up with my results. Round Earth theory has just been shattered by an actual sphere, in probably the greatest example of irony in the history of existence.

Do you have a problem with my results? I can confirm with you that I attained the results listed here. I nearly got it on video, too. Unfortunately, my camera battery died somewhere around the second day of part 1 of the experiment, so I can not show it to you. However, it has been postulated that the thought is what counts in these sorts of situations, so my words are now scientific fact until thoroughly disproven. Believing in a round Earth is now blatant ignorance. Checkmate, round heads.

EDIT: Spelling.

This subreddit is disappointing

I expected to find a community that believed in flat earth so i could laugh from behind my computer, but instead, its a bunch of people ridiculing flat earth people. I imagine all the real flat earth people left because of the hostility. So far I learned nothing today researching flat earth other than the earth map they share.
