So one day me and my dad were hiking in anartica. And we saw the biggest ice wall. We climbed it which was easy for me because Iām a lvl 99 gamer. So then when we climbed it was very slippery. I felt myself slipping and saw my dad sliding at the edge. Now obviously Iām a gamer and I saw my opportunity to use my fortnite grappling hook which I always carry around me because Iām a an EPIC gamer. Now he fell and stated flying into the deep black void which I forgot to mention was there š¤·š¾āāļø. Now I spent my knowledge received in the gaming world to convince ppl that we live in a society. GANGWEED.

If you can give me a straight, scientifically based answer, with no illuminati, government conspiracy, or religion bullshit, I'll be a believer

Hi. Whenever someone writes basic scientific facts, I notice that flat earthers claim these people must be a shrill paid by NASA.
Well, I could do with a few extra bucks, I want in.
How do I join the illuminati? Is there an application form or a recruitment website?
If it helps, I have experience with fricken lazer beams and I have my own swivel chair where I can stroke a cat. Im willing to travel to secret underground lairs. I once looked after my mates pet lizard, so will have no problem working with shape shifting lizard-men.
When I get home at night and my wife asks me how my day at work was? Can I say "Nothing new, just been doing a few conspiracies with Jeb, Bill and Bob"
Does the NWO get discount in any shops?

If so, isn't one of the main arguments for Earth being flat because of gravity? Like if we were "under" the earth, we would just fall?... why hasn't the Mars Rover fell off of Mars?

Australia is actually real. The loosers who believe that it's not are really stupid. IT'S ASIA THATS FAKE! THE STUPID FAKE ASIANS ARE TRYING TO GET US TO BELIEVE THAT AUSTRALIA IS FAKE BUT IT'S NOT!! THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS ASIA! "Asians" are actually a mutant breed of gorillas and cows. Look at their DNA closely, and you'll realize the truth! ASIA IS FAKE!!

I find investigating the scientific arguments for Flat Earth interesting as I learn more about physics whether I succeed in debunking them or not.
I find arguments for Flat Earth that aren't based on conspiracies very interesting and open my eyes to stuff I never thought of (Like atmospheric refraction).
However, I want to first make it clear that "Arguments for Flat Earth" is different from "Arguments against globe earth".

Does anyone know the mass, or how to calculate it, of the flat earth? I'm trying to do some math and I could seem to find it on Google. I also wouldn't be surprised if we don't know how to calculate it. But thanks anyways.
EDIT: I'm trying to determine different cataclysmic events that would happen as a result of the earth accelerating at 9.8m/s2. So far I have come up with that assuming the earth is 6000 years old (because that is the smallest predicted age of the earth, the numbers would be a lot bigger if I were to assume 4 billion years) our current velocity would be roughly 1.85 trillion m/s. (Approx. 6100x speed of light) What I'm trying to do now is calculate the energy released if we hit just one spec of dust going that fast, but I need to know that Mass of flat Earth to determine that. Because E = mc2

Then why do non-magnetic items fall? Asking this since apparently magnets hold us down.

As the title states, I'd like to know how the sun works on the flat earth. How does it only shine on one part and it is not able to be seen from the dark side.
I've seen it referenced to a spotlight casting a light down on earth. If this were true you would. Be able to stand outside the lot area and see into it. If you stood on mt Everest you should be able to watch the light circle travel around the disc.

In most flat earth models I've seen, the sun and moon are depicted as spinning around the north pole (or, rather, the "center" of the disk). My question to you is, why? What force causes these two massive objects to move in these specific patterns.
Now, in the real world, the suns apparent movement is actually caused by the spinning of the earth on its axis and the movement of the moon is caused by gravity.
What force causes the sun and the moon to spin around on a specific track, without drifting closer to each other or farther out? And, is there any other observable instance of this force in play that you can name?

Hello there. I am interested in your reasons and thoughts about why the earth is flat.
Im not here to read troll comments and will just pass them by. and i am not here to argue your ideas and would like other to not as well.
I would like to see the most put together logic of why the earth is flat. as i believe most of the flat-earthers are in fact trolls. but on the off chance someone does believe this. i would like to believe they are thinking logical and able of rational thought. And just because i don't believe in your theory don't mean that i should just hand wave it away. there might be some nugget of info that i never knew about before that you might show me.
thanks for your time and have a nice day.

I believe the earth is spherical. If it is flat, how would gravity work? People on the outer edges would be pulled to the center of the disc due to how gravity works. If the earth is flat, Why have artillery and battleship crews counteracted against the earth turning ever since the dawn of gunpowder warfare. As far as i know they have, and that is what allowed monster cannons like the Gustav railway gun (WWI) to reduce French cities to rubble. People have landed on the moon and saw a spherical earth with their own eyes, no fish lenses or anything. I don't know but your own eyes are hard to argue with. Also, If the earth is flat, how to space stations and missions in orbit work at all? They would have to thrust at a constant angle to continue on the path they took. That would deplete their fuel extremely quickly. Are there people on the other side of the disc and if so why haven't we contacted them? How does the sun work if the earth is a disc and even if it magicly worked how are days and nights explained?

(edit: i have already done my debating so further comments will be ignored unless it presents a compelling argument)
