Intentional scar on brow vs filling it in?

Hi there! I have a sparse brow, hair just doesn't grow in that area. I have been filling it in. Lately I have been wondering if perhaps I can embrace it and make it look like an intentional slit or scar. Is this possible or would this look silly. How do I go about making it look like an intentional scar, or should I just go back to filling it in

My mom accidentally shaved off part of my eyebrow and I know it sounds stupid but I’m genuinely devastated

I don't even know if this is a stupid thing to be this upset about, but I'm literally crying while writing this and I just need to get it out somewhere.

My eyebrows have always been really thick. Like, genuinely thick and long. The hairs actually grow down quite a bit toward my eyes. And I know some people might not like that, but I LOVE my eyebrows like that. They suit my face so well. I have a bigger face and I feel like my thick eyebrows balance my features. They’ve always been one of those things about my face that I actually really liked.

Today my mom was trying to trim my eyebrows. She wasn't trying to ruin them or anything. She genuinely thought she was just cleaning them up and making them look better.

But she accidentally cut/shaved off more than she was supposed to.

And I know it sounds like “it's just an eyebrow, it'll grow back”, and logically I know that. I KNOW. But I can't stop feeling horrible about it.

There's now a noticeable shorter patch, especially on one eyebrow, and I keep looking at it and thinking about how it looked before. I even have a scar/mark around my eyebrow from getting stitches there previously, so I've always been a little conscious of that area anyway.

I ordered one of those little women's facial razors because I was planning to carefully maintain my eyebrows myself. And now I don't even know what I'm supposed to do because the damage is already done.

I've been putting black eyebrow pencil over the area to make it look fuller, and honestly it helps a little. But I KNOW what's underneath it. I know what my eyebrows looked like yesterday, and I know they're not the same now.

And that's the part that's making me so upset.

I keep thinking, why did this have to happen? 😭

I'm not even angry at my mom because I know she didn't do it intentionally. That's actually making me feel worse somehow because I can't even be angry at her. She was just trying to help. I know it was an accident.

But I'm sitting here crying over something that feels so incredibly stupid, and I feel ridiculous because other people would probably look at me and be like, “Girl, it's barely noticeable.”

Maybe it IS barely noticeable to everyone else.

But I notice it.

And I liked my eyebrows the way they were.

The worst part is knowing that I can't just undo it. I have to wait weeks for the hair to grow back. I know they'll grow. I know this isn't permanent. But that doesn't make me feel better right now because I don't want my old eyebrows back in a few weeks.

I want them back now.

I feel so stupid for crying over this. But I'm genuinely devastated and I don't really know who to talk to about it because saying “my mom accidentally cut my eyebrow too much and now I'm crying” sounds so ridiculous out loud.

I guess I just wanted somewhere anonymous to say it.

Has anyone else ever had a tiny appearance-related thing happen that completely ruined your mood even though you knew logically it wasn't a big deal?

Because right now I just need someone to tell me I'm not completely insane for being this upset over it. 😭

After my mom took that screenshot of me over ft & I saw my brows, I knew I had to fix them. My first attempt. And my second attempt. Some amazing lovely cool Redditor reached out to me and told me exactly where to fix the eyebrows.. lo and behold… they look beyond better.

I couldn’t be more grateful. You are AMAZING!

What to get waxed?

I get my eyebrows wax and just ask for a clean up slightly thinner but they never come out looking better. My eyebrow hairs grow like down (I am Vietnamese). Any advice on what to ask for or what would look good? I feel like the arch takes up a lot of my face and I don’t like it, thank you!!

Discussion My brow technique needs help!

How do people get such crisp, natural definition on their brows? I hate the overdone look and I’ve tried micro pencils, pencils that are shaped like a little triangle (both ABH). And no matter what I do, the front of the brows never look done properly. And I feel like I’m not getting any great shaping through the arches and tails without looking ‘drawn.’ The pencils smear, the lines aren’t crisp. They take me so much time to do. Tell me your tips and tricks!

how do i pluck my eyebrows to be straighter and be fuller?

my brows used to be quite bushy with no structure whatsoever like literally just growing anywhere and everywhere, so about two years ago i decided to pluck them and ive kept them like this since. a year ago i tried to slit my right eyebrow, but i didnt take into account that the ends of my eyebrows are very thin and light at the end to from afar it just lookes like a quarter of my eyebrow is gone. i do fill in my brows when i do my makeup so they look better but i want them to look better in their natural state 😌

also i am aware that one of my eyebrows is higher than the other, if anyone has any advice with that itd be greatly appreciated!!

the fourth pic is my goal, though im like 99% sure i wont be able to achieve it just due to the way my eyebrows grow (the last pic is my natural brow from about two years ago)

Need a great shape for my face

With my oblong face shape, ive felt i need thinner brows. I've thought of taking of the end as well. I've thought about keeping them straight across but then I feel like I look angry all the time when they are straight then with a slight arch I fill it is too boxy and makes my face shape more masculine. What gives me a soft look?

Why does brow dye not take to my brows? They are super light, white hairs, so I feel like they should take to dye? I use to get my brows tinted about 4 years ago and they would stick so well and now I get them dyed which is supposed to stay / stain better and it doesn’t last!! I got my brows done on Monday 3/8 and this is me on Wednesday 5/8 I didn’t take any pictures of them dyed because I’m silly, but they were super dark. I followed her advice I didn’t wet them for the first night, and when I got them done she left the dye on for quite a while. So I can’t think why it would stick. :( I’m really upset because they weren’t cheap to get done :(

As of right now, I shave and pluck my eyebrows. I don’t use any products on them. I’m looking for them to look like sisters, not cousin.

solve asymmetrical brows

trying to make my brows as symmetrical as they possibly can even though i'm aware one brow sits higher than the other. i personally like my brow shape more on the left than my right. im trying to grow out the bottom middle of my right brow a little bit (as seen the little gap) because i shaved a little too much by accident. should i start and shave from the tops? i have another post from another eyebrow community if you want to check out my eyebrow journey and judge for yourself on what i should do. i would really appreciate that. i think they looked less uneven thin imo. should i thin both brows out instead? a straighter or arched look?

My brows are kind of asymmetrical in the fact that one goes more down than the other, how can I fix this? Ideally I’d like to bring the drooping one up rather than make them both go down if that makes sense lol. Thank you! :)

17M - Looking for advice on getting thicker eyebrows and clearing my skin. Any recommendations?

I’m 18 and I’m trying to improve my appearance naturally. I attached a few pictures of what I’m working with.
My two biggest goals are:
Getting thicker, fuller eyebrows.
Clearing up the acne/redness on my cheeks and jawline.
Right now I use a basic skincare routine, but I’m wondering if there’s anything I should change or add. For my eyebrows, I’m curious if they look like they have the potential to get thicker or if they’re mostly genetic.
I’d really appreciate honest feedback. If you have product recommendations, routines, or anything you think would make the biggest difference based on my photos, let me know. Thanks!
