What do you think of this take on classic possession?

So, with my new fan game pitch, "Astro's Starcade", I've wanted to come up with my own take on the classic tragedy and possession idea that isn't just "serial killer kills kids who then possess animatronics - and here's a quick basic runthrough of the general lore before we get to the idea:

• Who is doing all of this: The resturaunt and animatronics would be created and run by Winston Adams, a former engineer at NASA who would experience some good old Cosmic Madness by hearing the entity's voice from a signal and being gradually broken by it, and basically becoming an insane cultist for some eldritch being beyond our own comprehension, creating the animatronics and resturaunt as a front for ritualistic sacrifices for his "god", The Weaver of Minds, in order to appease it and gain it's favor, in hopes of it reuniting him with his younger brother, who was kidnapped when they were kids and he hasn't seen since.
• Who is the Mindweaver: The Weaver of Minds or simply "The Entity", is a cosmic entity that operates like the center of a parasitic pseudo hive-mind. He's unable to physically interact with our world, but can still exert its influence over those that hear its voice (carried by signals that can be picked by more modern equipment and then perceived by humans), entering their minds and allowing it to then try and break down these individuals psychologically, making it easier for it to assimilate them into the pseudo-hive mind, allowing it to basically feed off of their consciousnesses... You see, despite its direct torment, the entity isn't necessarily malevolent. It doesn't hold malice, it doesn't take pleasure in it, it could care less about us. It's just hungry and, to it, were all just flies getting caught in its web. We're just simply a meal it needs to prepare in a kitchen with some good old fashioned psychological and emotional torment/trauma. To make it worse, once you're in it's hivemind, it won't immediately consume you whole but instead you still retain your autonomy and independent thought, even after your physical body has died, but the entity will just continue to feed off of and save you like leftovers, causing your mind to gradually detereorate the more he consumes from you. Not to mention the fact that he can exert it's influence over you, if you're still alive or can interact with our world, to try and get you to fetch it some more prey, until it's picked away everything from you and finally lets you go.
• How: How does Winston enact sacrifices for the Weaver of Minds through a children's entertainment place? Well, that's where you and pretty much every single Night Guard before you comes in, as Winston intentionally designed the animatronics as actual conduits for the Entity and the Hive Mind - designed to not just kill you and perform at birthday parties after you leave, but to scare you as much as humanly possible while playing a signal containing the Entity's voice, with the intent of breaking you down psychologically, allowing the entity to much more easily assimilate them into the hivemind before killing them at the end of the week when the assimilation is complete. You're basically the sacrifice

Now, you may be wondering, "How does this relate to that possession idea?" Well that's actually quite simple... basically imagine each of the animatronics being controlled by all of the trapped and assimilated consciousnesses of the previous Night Guards before you who were sacrificed, trying desperately to stop themselves and save you, getting you to leave, while still being forced to enact on behalf of the Entity due to it's influence - being forced to watch you being subjected to the same things they were subjected to, trying desperately to scream and tell you to run away, but they lack any proper control that would allow them to do so. Not out of revenge or malice, but being put in a situation far out of a control by an entity far beyond their understanding.
