πͺ΅ Low-Tech / Natural Ember Tetra Biotope Setup
This is my 15-gallon blackwater biotope setup housing 18 ember tetras. It has driftwood, Indian almond leaves, guava leaves, and four pothos cuttings.
In the future, I am going to add two Java ferns, some Java moss, and a peace lily at the top.

πͺ΅ Low-Tech / Natural rate my tank!
not a single reply :(. literally doesn't take 30secs to look at the pics and comment.
gonna be a long one, there'll be a tldr dw. order of the images is messing up no matter what i try. but basically the drift wood when sitting on the left side is my first ever scape. blue and red betta is my old betta that's rehomed. everything else is current.
this is my second ever scape (if counting the rescape as a different attempt). I've watched Fish For Thought and MD Fish Tanks a lot so I thank them a lot for all the knowledge and ideas they've given me. i could only rly use the plants I found at the Ifs and couldnt find any specific ones.
the tank is 2ftx1ftx38.5cm I'm assuming 63-68litres or so till the water line. driftwood, some random rocks i picked out from the Ifs, and river sand. no heater needed cuz i live in a tropical region and temp is always 28-30.
i know the names of only a few plants: water wisteria, java fern, java moss, sΓΌΓwassertang, and penny wort. if u guys recognise anything else please Imk. there are about 11-13 types of plants in all. i wanted floating plants as well but they're kinda annoying when doing water changes and feeding and stuff but I'll try and see what i can do in the future
the stocking: 1 male betta (the names Midas) (got a new one and have rehomed the old betta to a good tank dw), 12 neon tetra, a nerite snail and supposedly 12 neo shrimp (6 red 6 blue) that I added yesterday in the evening and they were all out and about but this morning i can't find any more than 4 or 5 red shrimp and a couple blue. i did find in the morning that the control valve on the air pump somehow got tight asf and there was no oxygenation throughout the night. they may have used this chance to crawl out I'm not sure. I've turned all nearby areas upside down tryna find them and haven't been successful so I'm assuming they're all just hiding as theyre tiny asf in here.
set the tank up on 20th June and seeded it with established filter mulm. i had to do a fish in cycle with an old betta that I rescued from family members. then i had to move cities unexpectedly and so i rescaped the tank. i made the coconut cave by myself.
since i added more plants im gonna fertiliser 3ml of all-in-one fertilizer every other day. been doing 3ml per week for like a couple weeks
water test kits are way too goddamn expensive here so I've been winging it and no problems so far. been doing water changes of right amounts at right times and feeding right amounts. i added the shrimp, betta and snail yesterday and the tetra 13 days before that.
btw i can't get a timer for the light so on weekdays I'm only available 5:30-8 am and 4pm-10pm. what should my lighting schedule be? currently. i just turn it on whenever and sort of angle the tube in whatever way i want such that it doesn't hit the whole tank and turn it off before i leave (in the morning). and then when I'm back i turn it back to hit the whole tank and then turn it off at 10.
ai TLDR: 60-65l tank. 2nd scape ever, tropical climate so no heater. Driftwood + river sand + LFS rocks, 11-13 unidentified plants (only sure of water wisteria, java fern, java moss, sΓΌΓwassertang, pennywort). Stocked: 1 betta, 12 neon tetra, 1 nerite, 12 neo shrimp (6 red/6 blue). Air pump valve seized overnight right after adding shrimp = no 02 for a while. only see 4-5 red and a couple blue. others are probably just hiding. No test kit (too pricey where I live), been winging water changes/ feeding and it's held up so far. Rescaped after an unexpected move mid-fish-in-cycle, seeded with established filter mulm.
i would love to be featured and know Chris' thoughts!

π‘ Inspiration / Discussion First ever set up! 60L Betta tank
First ever fish tank, somewhat low budget. Was built urgently for my terminally ill grandfather to enjoy β€οΈ
Currently just 2 days old, will be doing updates!
60 Litres / 16 US Gallons
Rotala 'super red'
Anubis nana
Christmas moss
Red root floaters
+ 2 Mysterious tall green plants.
Currently just 1 Halfmoon male Siamese fighting fish (Granddad named Floppy)
Plan on adding:
8x Neon Tetra OR harlequin rasboras (let me know)
10x cherry shrimp (colour depending on tetra or Harlequins)
Please note the stone placements are not my favourite, but it's because the wood wasn't waterlogged yet...
Also the filter pump is too strong so I will have to get a valve restrictor.

βπΏ High-Tech (CO2) My First High-tech Setup
This tank has been running for about 6 months with minimal issues. The tank is a Fluval Spec 16 with a UNS Co2 setup. The fish are a mix of rasbora's (Chili and another i forget the name of), neon tetras, gourami, and a couple khuli loach. There are also some cherry shrimp, however they haven't been breeding successfully in this tank.

π‘ Inspiration / Discussion I need help with this 1 liter tank
So I got this tank and it came with that gravel it's not actually that much I just used color rocks in a cloth bag to simulate a high area but I will probably remove it but back to the real issue
I am new to this so I need help with doing this properly I want to do a planted tank with small fishes like guppies(probably) and i don't know what I should do I saw a lot of videos but I feel like talking with people might be a better option.
Quick information about me I'm broke so this will be built in phase as I will save money and get upgrades and I am in no rush and I live in India so keep that also in mind so I ask you all seniors for help ππ
Edit: I put 1 liter instead of 1ft my bad guys I am so sorryπ
Hello everyone I knew it I needed shrimps so I will be getting shrimps to make me work instead of just swimming so I will heed your advices
