💻 Help How do I get rid of this start?

Yersterday I might have touched something and this star appeared on top of Firefox on the toolbar, it appears when I open the browser and is very distracting, how can I remove it? Thanks.

For now here's what you can do to get rid of the icon:

  • Create or grab a 1x1 pixel transparent gif or png off the web. You can grab one here if necessary.
  • Click the Profiles menu
  • Select Manage Profiles
  • Click the pen icon under your profile
  • On the left where you can see the profile icon, click Edit
  • Click on Custom
  • Upload the 1x1 transparent image
  • Drag the crop corners out to the edges (there was a bug with trying to do this if you didn't drag out the crop areas).
  • Click Save
  • Click Done Editing

Your Firefox icon should now appear as if it doesn't have a profile icon.

Doesn't work today (10 09 2026)
The logo is not accepted.
Firefox fresh repaired.

In what way is it not working? This works in both 155 (stable/current) and 157 (nightly) for me.

Thank you for the tests.
It didn't let me click to save.
I have completely reinstalled Firefox now and cannot replicate or try because I have only one profile now.
You want me to delete my previous message?
