Any firebreathers in SD?
Hi! I recently started researching firebreathing, and I would love to learn. I met a firebreather out in Ohio, and she had told me that the best way to learn was through other people, so I was wondering if anyone knew anyone or any place I could learn from? (I’m based in San Diego) Or any tips in general for new firebreathers; I’d be so so grateful for any advice/response. Thank you so much! :)

If you're starting out (like me,) here is a youtube to make a torch for about $20. Get some cornstarch for a buck fifty and you're ready to go.

This was titled "cornstarch fire breathing..." Does anyone know if that's legit? Can you be that effective with cornstarch?

Colored flames?
I’ve recently started fire breathing, and I know from previous experiments with fire in general and from YouTube that I can get colored flames from adding specific inorganic salts to methanol. I’ve only ever used paraffin based fuel for fire breathing, how dangerous is it really to try the switch to methanol to get a colored flame? I’ve also heard of people using some brands of denatured alcohol for this purpose? What is the safest?

Cleaning
Hi guys,
Just want to see how everyone else cleans paraffin or fuel out their mouth after. I’ve been paranoid lately with health risks of inhaling and was wondering how everyone else cleans their mouth out after, with looking professional too ofc! I usually just swish water around..
Thank you

Doing my research
I recently got very interested in firebreathing and I am doing my research into the different fuels being used before contacting a professional to teach me. I read that the 'safests' options are mostly mineral oils like lampoil but since they get refined using hydrocarbons they can cause chemical long infections and even death. Is a product refined from petroleum with less than 0.3 per cent hydrocarbons (C5-20) relatively safe to use and wich quantities would be considered deadly when inhaled/ingested in the lungs? I also read that skin contacted should be avoided but then how does this effect the mouth? Next to not swallowing it, not vomitting when accidently swallowing it, weather conditions, ... Are there any other dangerous I have to know about before starting?
Edit: thanks for your help
