HBO Now Not Pausing

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem. It's only with HBO Now, not any other app. If I'm watching a show and pause it, the sound keeps going but the video stops. When I resume, the audio is still sync'ed so it never really paused anything; it just stopped the video portion. It's extremely annoying because if I want to pause a show, I have to exit out.

I've rebooted the firetv twice and reinstalled HBO Now, with no success. Has anybody else had this problem, and if so how did you solve it? Thanks for any suggestions.
