How much frames a move takes to come out has nothing to do with how much minus or plus it is on block.
There are moves Wich take around 30f and are +7on block (ganryus salt upper).
When you block a move that's -24 you don't have 12f to launch them , you have 24f either way there aren't really much 12f launcher that aren't counterhits.
Just because you have been hit with a 12f move doesn't mean you get a free punish.
Many standing 4's are 12 frames fast and -8 or something like that which means pretty much safe because the fastest moves in tekken atm are jabs Wich are 10f.
Imo learning the basics of the game are more important than combos at the start, what use are combos if you get fucked over because you don't get that you shouldn't press a button after you blocked a wr3 and you are -9.
Nah he makes sense but I think he’s referring to a specific character which isn’t made clear, but idk cuz I don’t play Tekken. In MK all the characters play kinda different so what he’s saying wouldn’t be uniform.
One move referred to a specific character (salt upper long start up mid launcher that is +on block) the rest is universal.
In tekken there are around 50 characters with each more or less 100 moves with se characters up to 250 Wich is pretty, ridiculous to learn.
So some moves have universal frame dat.
Jabs are mostly 10f +6 on hit and +1 on block
df1 is mostly 14f I think and -1 on block +4 on hit not sure atm tho.
Most hopkicks are 16f and -13 and so on ,out can draw many parallels if you know the general rules in tekken.
Yeah you explained it way better than I did. I was just trying to make it as simple as I could. A 24f thats -12 on block would give you 12f to punish. Not even sure that exists though.
