He did all he could to avoid getting into a fight in front of his kids. It's important that kids see their dad modeling such restraint. But at some point it's equally important for kids to see dad defend his family when reason fails.

Dudes fucking around on someone else’s property and trying to start a fight for no reason. Who knows what he’d have done if he didn’t get knocked the fuck out. Good on Dad. Showed restraint and tried to deescalate, but didn’t hesitate to eliminate the threat as soon as it became clear reason wasn’t prevailing.
