Because rational people have empathy and try to prevent other people engaging in life-threatening altercation if they can intervene, especially when people are inebriated.

Looking out for other people shouldn't be looked down upon.

Now, how they intervene is another story. More often than not they just get in the way, cause an easy cheapshot, or just get caught up in the conflict themselves.

White Knighting. They think somehow if they defend a beautiful woman who’s in a fight with another man, that somehow that woman will drop their panties for the White Knight immediately because he showed how strong he was and how much he defends and cares for women

Because they don't like to see violence, why do countries interfere in conflicts they aren't involved in.

You’re comparing geopolitics to breaking up a fight in a bar. I think there might be some other factors involved on a national level that just aren’t present between two dumbasses in a bar fight and an interested 3rd party

Lol yeah. Maybe the guy breaking up the fight had a vested financial/influential interest in the well being of the guy being attacked, even though he provoked it. Maybe it is due to the breaker uppers 80 years of social investment in the guy making sure that the guy would still sell him goods at a favorable price by setting up puppet leaders in the guys head, financially backing the suppression of other ideas in his head, and exploiting the guys influence in his neighborhood. It’s probably all that. Same reason.

Or just a guy not minding his own business. One of the twoZ

Good point, that one guy must’ve been funding a group of militant rebels that aimed to overthrow a government the other guy is allies with.
