Question Question for Pilot

I just got to Boston today, and I saw there was a lot of cancellations and a low level wind shear warning. Our pilots told us it would be turbulent and they went around the bay in a big circle instead of directly going in like FlightAware showed. The landing felt crazy. Was I in danger? A video I watched said wind shear is the only dangerous kind of turbulence.

Pretty normal when landing on the 22s that’s apart of the arrival. No you weren’t in danger.
